"You worry for your clan, thats what a leader needs. dont worry the more worrying you are the safer, the less you worry the more of a chance we in trouble" Darkclaw sat down by brackenstar and groomed his leader to sooth him "We couldnt have a better leader ya know, after the gathering people said how brave you stood up there. most leaders never talk"

Brackenstar shrugged "Still, My father always said I should be braver like the old leaders, Brokenstar and Tigerclaw and whatever their names were"

"You mouse-brain you know they turned up to be agaisnt warrior code, didnt your mother tell ya that?" darkclaw shaked his head "My mother said tigerclaw broguht some clan to ruin the forest, and brokenstar was driving out clans. you wont be like them would you?" (Mothers know all! >=))

Brackenstar shook his head "I lnow but I still wish I had half their courage"

"You get it soon, you were made deputy a reason, (insert last leaders name here=P) choose you cause you shown you was loyal and brave, you just nervous now cause your leading us. soon you get a hang for it, and i bet be the best leader shadowclan has had!"

"I wouldnt go that far" chuckled Brackenstar "But maybe your right"

Brackenstar chuckled "What about that time you told me there was a bird up that tree and it turned out to be an owl?"

Darkclaw blinked "Erm, Owl is a bird.. a type of one." Darkclaw smiled innocently "Ok fine but i am right most of time"

"Brackenstar smiled "Yeah" he chuckled "And we've both got the scars to prove it"

"Yea so did the owl!" Darkclaw chuckled "Ah its fun talking to you like a warrior again, i know i should be adressing you as a leader but i cant keep our friendship hidden by ya leadership. But if you expect me to be more of a follower i can change"

"What would be the point in losing ,y best friend" smirked Brackenstar. He nudged Darkclaw "We were friends since we were kits I'm not losing that"

"glad you think the same, but dont let anyone know we are still apprentices at heart, im trying to keep my reputation as a serious deputy around with the others" Darkclaw lowered his voice
