Sadie nodded, relieved he hadn't brought up the whole issue of her risking death. Rio would've done it for sure.

Rio came back with a deer in his muzzle, and he dropped it on the ground.
"Here is your food." He said.

"Thank you, Rio," Sadie said, dipping her head gratefully. Her white eyes turned to Grant suddenly.
"Grant? Would you like to take the first bite?"
He had been alot of help, just by answering her questions. And for some reason, she felt he could trust him; this only made her trust more visible. Briefly, she wondered what Rio would think about the offer, but shook it off. It was too late to take back her words.

"Sure." He said, then he took a couple bites. "You can have the rest." He said.

Sadie breathed a soft sigh of relief when Rio didn't comment, and took a few bites herself. SHe mainly targeted the neck; the flesh was softer and juicier there, and she swallowed the meat greedily. "Dig in," she said, looking up at Rio. She gestured to the meat invitingly.

Rio then started to eat his share. It was finished shortly.
"Shall we go now?" Grant asked.

Sadie almost nodded, then caught herself. Rio would decide this one; she needed a break from decided when to stop and walk again. She looked at him for an answer, her white eyes conveying it was up to him.

"You lead this time, Rio," Sadie said quickly, unwilling to do it herself. Like she had said before; she needed a break from being "leader".

"Okay then." He said, then he started to walk.
Grant followed.

Sadie stood up quickly, and found herself slightly behind Rio, and slightly in front of Grant.

Rio kept walking. Leading the way.
"So, when we get there, what is the plan?" He asked.
