Rio then rushed toward Hiro, then bit him as hard as he bit Ai, before Hiro got to Sadie.
"I CANNOT let her die!" Rio said.

Hiro's eyes took on the same glazed look as Ai, and he collapsed as he did.
Sadie's eyes were closed, pain overwhleming her. The earth seemed to be spinning, and she felt sick and weak.

Rio came over to Sadie.
"Don't die on me! Pl-" Rio started to say.
Grant came up upon Rio, and then bit him really hard.
Rio howled very loud, and collapsed in pain. He then tried to bite Grant, but it was no use, he just got too weak.

Sadie made a choking sound, but managed to stand up, blood leaking from her wounds, mostly her neck. "Go..away," she rasped. She suddenly bit him, then collapsed. THe bite was hard enough to kill, or atleast it should have been.

Grant hardly was affected. He was strong.
Rio then got up from his wound, then bit Grant as hard as he could.
Grant collapsed, and fell on the ground, dead.
"They might be done for, but I know we are as well. I know more wolves will come and attack us." Rio whimpered to Sadie.

Sadie wasn't able to reply, only nod weakly. The gash in her throat made it hard to breath, and she was rapidly losing strength.

So far, they seemed to be winning the battle. However, if Sadie wished to win the battle to keep her life, she needed to see a healer quickly.

Sadie preferred that to being carried, and managed a small nod. The movement made pain wrack her body, and she shuddered.

Sadie coughed again, then wished she hadn't. She felt dizzy, like the ground was spinning beneath her, and fought to stay awake. Some instinct warned her if she succumbed to sleep, she might not wake again.
Soon, although it may not have been soon enough, a healer, known as Kya, arrived. She immediatly rushed towards the female on the ground, who was lying in a pool of her own blood, that slowly stained her white fur red. She sniffed the throat, then looked up, searching for her partner.
