She smiled licking the goop off the pups, " Yeah. They are. Oh and look. There are twins." She said smiling as she pointed them out.

"Yeah, I can see that. We should get them to the den fast. They aren't protected out here."
Very tenderly, mike picked three of the time pups up and began carrying them to the den.
"You rest here Jamie. I'll take care of them."

Chris set the three pups down on some soft moss in the Den and told Helga to watch them. Then he quickly hurried back for the three other pups, noticing Jamie already fast asleep. Mike grinned, then picked to pups up and headed back to the den to care for his children.

Jamie was dreaming that she was running with her mother in her old pack. She was just a pup herself and she felt so free and wild. Then, she heard gun shots. The hunters were back. She tried running away from all of it. Her mother picked her up by the scruff and put her on her back. She clenched her teeth as her mother fell to the ground. She broke a paw. She started to run limping with every step she took. A big black wolf showed up and carried her back to her den. Who was it? It couldn't be her father. Or, could it? It was. She never thought she knew her father or even seen him before. But, now, she had. Once they were back in the den, he was shot. Killed immediately in the head. One of the other wolves took her in until she learned how to hunt. She was then the Alpha. She decided to run away and never return. She woke up and ran to her den.

"Well, there is. I saw how my parents died when I was just a pup. But, mostly, I saw my father. I don't remember my father. I didn't hardly see him since he was the alpha male of the pack, he was always busy except for night time when I was asleep. Then, very early in the morning he would go out again and patrol the packs land. Then wake everybody up and then watch over the pack all day. Same routine."
