"New friends." Zero said. Well, Shift is... I dunno about the Doberman, he doesn't seem to like anyone.
"Lawfer. Guard dog." The Doberman said somberly.

"Oh, cool guard dog, great now you don't have to worry about terrorists stealing your bacon, er wait, do they even like bacon? uuhhhmmm." Slick stood silent trying to figure this out.

Lawfer merely glanced at him, ears flicking slightly as if trying to figure out why a dog like Slick was even there, or even talking to him.
Zero looked from Lawfer to Slick and back before whispering to Shift, "Is Lawfer always so..." he paused, "... Y'know... Moody?"

"The big guys been around for a while," he shrugged, "Maybe he could use some company other than boring old me heh heh," Shift laughed a little.(I'm going to school now, hopefully I'll be back later buddy )

Zero wondered what a bit of company could do, and he wanted to be a guard dog also when he could, so maybe he could get to know the hard-hearted (it seemed to him) dog.
(Alright, see ya then.)

"Hey, hmm, hmmm, hmmmmm, you know..." Shift thought, looking at Slick, then his words shot out of his mouth at the speed of sound (XDDDD duh) "you look like you would be good with explosives, I'm gonna get you fitted for a special training course," Shift grabbed a surprised Slick and pulled him out of the building and to someplace else.
Ace turned to Zero, "He'll be fine, Shift knows what he's doing... most of the time, so Lawfer, how's life been treating you?"

"Same old same old. Being shot at for doing my job against trespassers." Lawfer said, still in that same, droning mellow tone.

"I heard there might be some heavy combat within a month or so, " Ace replied, "What do you think?"

"I'll probably miss it if it's not here at home base." Lawfer said, shrugging. "If it's not here, they leave me behind to guard base."

"You could request to move to a different unit." Ace shrugged.

"Well, a lot of your friends are going to be moving out in a few weeks," Ace sat down, "Do me a favor, keep an eye on Zero, will ya?"
