Sadie ignored her complaining muscles, quickly passing Grant and walking next to Rio.

Sadie nodded, a troubled look crossing her face. While she knew they had to eat and hunt, all it did was waste more time...every second lost was another chance for losing her pups. A shudder coursed through her at that thought.
"Alright..." she said slowly, relectulance hidden in her voice. "Would you mind hunting this time?"

"Okay then." He said, then went out and looked for food.

Sadie looked at Grant hesitantly, a question pricking at her mind. "Grant...what do you think Ai will do?" Concern was written all over her face, and she gazed at him with pleading eyes.

"Knowing her, she will keep them hostage, brainwash them. She might kill them, but knowing her, that won't be for a while." He said to her.

"Do you...do you think we even have a chance?" Normally, she wouldn't express her doubts and fears to Grant...but these circumstances were not normal. For one, Grant was helping them. Second, her pups were gone. Third, Ai was back.

"I think we do. I got an idea, when we arrive, I can pretty much distract her, and you can get your pups." He said.

"Grant, she'll be going after me..." Sadie decided to make a great leap of trust. "Would you help Rio get the pups? They can escape while I hold Ai off." She didn't add the fact that she may be killed.

"I will kill her then. She will think I am loyal to her, when they are escaped, I will bite her in the neck. And she will never see it coming." Grant said.

"I don't know...do you think Hiro told her that you were dead?" Sadie asked.

"I doubt it," Sadie said, shaking her head. "But if you stay outside the cave, hidden, then you may be able to sneak up on her and deliver the killing blow. She'll think you're dead after all."
