Rue shrugged. "I don't know," she said, thinking it over. Nothing came up that sounded good.

Setsuko stood and stretched, popping her back. She shook loose her joints, tired from sitting around. "Well, I'm gonna go explore. Come on, Jaci!" And with that, the girl and the Blue Lion trekked out into the woods.

Rue stayed where she was, not feeling like getting up for some reason. She stared at the ground and started making lines in the dirt with a stick. They soon formed her family, and she swallowed hard past the lump the rose in her throat. She wiped the image away.

Setsuko glanced around the forest-y clearing. It looked nothing like the South Pole, nor did it look like the island where Samiia lived. There where more trees and birds about than Setsuko had ever seen in one place, and for the first time that she'd been in this strange world, she noticed them. Jaci was simply in awe, staring up at the partly-blocked sky.

Rue's eyes felt hot, but she ignored the feeling, struggling to focus on something else.

"This looks really different than home, doesn't it, Jaci?" Setsuko murmured, somewhat in awe. Jaci mewled in agreement, pacing through the thick undergrowth. Setsuko glanced around curiously, listening to the constant chirps of bird and rustles of the leaves in the wind.

Rue let out a light sigh, running her fingers through the dirt.

"Maybe we should head back," Setsuko ventured. She recalled in dismay the last time she was ready to leave a forest...when she met Rue. It had been pitch-black in a similar woodland. Pushing aside the memory, Setsuko spoke again. "Besides, Rue's probably waiting for us." And with that she turned and headed for the cabin. Jaci stared calmly after her for a moment before following.

Rue heard Setsuko coming and steadied her composure, making sure that no sign of her sadness showed.

Setsuko entered the clearing where the cabin was, Jaci following closely. "Hey, Rue. Miss me?" She smirked. But the smile faded as she sat down next to her friend.

"Yeah, you being gone for a few minutes was totally depressing," Rue joked back. She noticed Setsuko's smile, more of a smirk really, fade as she sat down beside her, and hoped tha she kept her composure.

Setsuko sighed. "It's almost as boring here as it is in camp," She complained, half to herself, "And Kuilak's not even here to go on an expedition with me." She sighed again and rolled out flat on her back, staring longingly into the sky.

"We could go on an expedition together," Rue mused, following Setsuko's example and laying down. It was comfier this way anyways.

Setsuko thought about it for a moment. It wouldn't really be the same without Kuilak and the snowy landscape, and on top of that, she had just gotten back from looking around with Jaci. But seeing as there was nothing else to do, she decided that it couldn't hurt. "Ok, why not?" She sat up again and shook the dust out of her beige hair.

Rue sneezed, the slight dust from Setsuko's hair having been breathed in.
