Thorn came entering threw her house door. She saw her little sister, Esther, on the couch watching TV. "Hey, Essie, is it safe... from Liz?"

"Yeah, she went back to bed."

Thorn slipped back to her room, chucked Maxxi on the floor and sat on her bed.
