Russet's short howl cut even shorter. What would arguing change? He just sighed and lay down.

"Delilah...?" Russet began, but soon stopped, not knowing what to say.

'What the h**l are you waiting for?' Russet's 'inside' voice asked him. He sighed and shook his head. "I-" Russet paused. His ears flattened. He slowly walked over to Delilah. His huge paw caught the few tears that fell. Russet gulped. Not again... His head slunk low under his shoulders. "Delilah...." he whispered.

Russet choked for words. "Please... don't."

Russet cringed and flinched backwards. "D-d-don't cry over me! I can't watch you suffer like this!" he growled sadly.

Russet growled and paced back to the mouth of the cave. Evrything was falling apart, even if just slowly. "It doesn't even matter how hard I try to change everything, Delilah. In the end, I do cause this." He closed his eyes and sighed.
