Ruger smiled and said "When did you join that pack?"

"When I was around 1. She was just being born then." Raven said.

Ruger sighed and said "I was hoping to the fullest extent that you were there when Resputan founded the pack a year before you came. If you came just a month before you did, then you would have seen a nice pack before Rex took over by brute strength. He bullies his dogs and they have no choice but to do what he says but I will make Resputin proud, I will make my father proud, and lead that pack like my father did. And bring justice upon this territory and not fear and cruelty, like my father did. Rex took over only because Resputin died protecting everyone, dog and man alike, from a very bad thing that would have killed everyone. That is howw the pack went down but, when I get into control, I will have his daughter kill him or have his daughter exile him. So, are you with us or not? Do you want to follow me? And if you do choose that then you go as far as you want to and stop and turn around and leave when you had enough. But I promise you that if you do follow me then you will have a place to call yours, a place to call home."

Raven nodded eagerly. "I promise to follow you."

Rio had managed to escape from under Raven. "I wanna come to!"

Calico sighed. "I can't belive we're making a pack."

Ruger smiled at Rio and said "But when fighting starts you get your butt out of there." Ruger looked up at Raven and said "Thank you. I won't abuse you or your help." HE looked at Calico and asked "What's wrong with that? You knew we were going to. So, what's wrong, Callie?"

"I know but I've always been part of my fathers. It feels wired to be in my own." Calico said.

Ruger shook his head and said "Your not in anything, Calico. You are one of the alphas, one of the leaders. In means not alpha and we are both alphas. The best way to say what alpha is, is to say is. You and I are the pack."

Calico smiled. "It sounds bettter they way you put it."

Ruger smiled and said "It's the truth. We are the pack but the dogs who follow us is the heart of the pack and it makes it strong. If the dogs are willingly to follow us then our pack is stronger than a pack that forces their dogs to follow them. Because you see when a dog is forced into something their spirit dies and their pride as a dog is gone but when they follow us willingly then their spirits are strong and they have pride." He looked at Raven and smiled while saying "Take Raven for example. We made fun of him but do you see anything, anything at all, that affected him in doing so. No because he is prideful and has an amazing spirit but if we broke him then he would be depressed and would have no pride or spirit left in him like all of the dogs that are forced to serve Rex but I have hope that once they are free from him then their pride will come back and their spirit will be revived."

Calico smiled and listened to him talk, and brushed up aginst him. "Well, should we get going?"

Ruger looked at Raven and asked "Do you know any dogs in this town, Raven? And I say you remember more than you think but you believe differently and that's why you can't 'remember' much, Raven. And why I say that is because when I asked you to remember, you started thinking and it came."

Raven smiled, happy at Ruger's comment. "Well, all I know of is a prissy poodle and a yellow lab."

Ruger nodded and said "Are these girls?"

Raven nodded.

Ruger smiled and said "The Golden lab?" (He is asking if he has a crush on the golden lab.)
