"I know, I know," Canyon said. "But we can't contol the weather. All we can do is comfort them."
"Y-yeah," Maria said. "I don't mind the rain, but I hate the thunder. It's so loud."

Ana jumped when thunder tore through the air. "M-me too." she stuttered, shaking with fear.
"I know, lets get them in the cave before the rain starts, quick." said Aleu, looking at the sky.

Ana ran ahead fast and went into the cave.
Aleu helpped Maria into the cave. "Everyone hurry!" she said, helpping the others. "Safe and sound."

Kodi hurried in after Maria. "Are you two alright?"
Maria nodded. "Fine. Just glad to be out of the storm."

Ana whimpered. She was terrifed. She'd never liked storms but normally she had Rose to cuddle up to. This time, she cuddled up close to Kodi. "I'm scared Kodi."

"Just close your eyes and get some sleep," Kodi said, "When you wake up, the storm will be over."
Canyon walked in when everyone else was safely in the cave. He shook his soaked fur. "It's pouring out there," he explained. "That storm came on hard and fast."

Aleu cuddled close to her mate. "Its ok, we're safe now." she said. "The storm can't hurt us in this cave." she said, licking his cheek.
Ana nodded. "Its times like this I miss Rosie..."

Canyon smiled at her. "We should check on the rest of the pack," he said.
"Don't worry, Ana," Kodi said. "We'll be back home soon."

"Good idea, come with me." said Aleu. "I don't want to go out alone."
Ana nodded. "I'm just a little homesick is all, happens to everyone doesn't it?"

"I wouldn't want you to go alone," Canyon said, leading the way back out of the cave.
"Yes, of course," Kodi said. "I;m even a little homesick. I miss the mail team."

Aleu nodded and followed her mate. She walked out into the storm, the wind and rain was so hard, it stung her skin.
"Really big brother." said Ana, cocking her head.

Canyon stuck by Aleu's side. "It's only a short walk," he reassured her.
"Of course," Kodi said. "I love the mail team. They're like family."

Aleu nodded. "Ok!" she yelled over the wind. "Man this storm is hard!"
"Cool." said Ana. "Fang espcially, if grandpa Scout mates with her, then he'll be our uncle!"
