Max was so eager to race he ran as fast as he could but tripped on a patch of ice and slammed right into the musher. "Uh, oh." Said Max.

Tony raced out of the barn and up to the sled to get hooked up excitedly. The race started in three hours, so he knew he had to practice as hard as he could, but not let all of his energy out. He had to save some for the race too, or else he would be too tired to race at all. He hoped the musher gave him a treat too. That always gave him more energy.

"Good boy Max." He gave him a treat and hooked him up, " Good boy Tony." He gave him two treats and hooked him up then gave Max another because it would have been un fair to give Tony two and not Max.

Max`s tongue flopped out like a pink flag as he pumped his legs, he was so eager to win the race, that he imaginined that the practice was the real race, and instead of matching Tony`s pace, he waas almost dragging him along and almost bumping into the dog infront of him.

Steele blinked at how fast they were going and said, "That was really fast Blizzard. You've never been that fast." He panted.
She heard him and said, " In the race, it'll probably be faster than that." She smiled and waited for the real race. The musher unhooked the dogs from the sled and then an hour later they were getting ready for the big race, " Already Asher, Tony, Blizzard, Steele, Jay, Frost, Jet, and Scarlette! Come get ready for the race!" He called out and Blizzard got in place as she was harnessed up.
Steele also was harnessed up for the race. His muscles ached with excitement because he wanted to run.

That didn't stop the musher from taking Max and pulling him over in his spot and hooking him up. That's exactly what he did too.

Max looked terrible, he looked as grim as death, he had high temperature, and his nose was running. But he didn`t want to show the signs of his sickness, he just wanted to help his team out, now that the musher had forced him to race. Max was now eager to run.
