Dusty sighed. "Oh well, best get going."
Balto nodded. "Alright, everyone, lets get going." he said.
Fang looked to Kai. "You've been quiet, other than the fact we all reek, is something wrong?"
Cachen nuzzled her back then heard the others. "Lets go."
Lenatai nodded. "Yeah, just need to put it on the chain." she said. "Wait, let's listen for Mako's truck first."
"Alright Titan, I'm leaving you in charge while I'm gone, watch out for her, she's tricky." said Mako, getting into his truck and slamming the door before driving off.

Kodi nodded. "Alright."
Bashkei picked Tai up onto his back once more, until the pain wore off.
Kai shook his head, blinking curiously. "No, not really..." he said with a curious face. "Is there anything wrong with you?" he asked, tilting his head.
Katie listened intently, pricking up her ears to listen better. She smiled as she heard the engine roar and becoming softer. "Good, he's gone." she said quietly. She edged the bowl closer to her, before beginning to splash it onto her neck. The collar and chain were choking her and she breathed hard as a result. Sooner enough the chain was dripping, just like the rest of her.

Dusty groaned as she had to walk and was unable to cover her nose against the intense stench of skunk in the air. "Hopefully what's following us gets skunked too."
Cachen looked up to his sister. "Are you alright, Tai?" he asked, always worried for his sister.
Fang shook his head. "Nothing, except the fact we all stink." he said, rubbing his nose with a chuckle before following the others.
Lenatai nodded. "This'll be pretty cold though." she said. She breathed on the collar, making her breath icy. She kept it up until the collar was completely frozen, as well as some of Katie's fur. "Ok, now give it a hard tug, maybe it'll break now."

Kodi laughed at Dusty's hard time. It was much easier to be skunked young. "You'll get used to the stink, trust me." he said, smiling wide.
Tai nodded,smiling weakly.She looked tired again, but truly was exhausted. "I'm okay, Cachen...whatever this thing is it got too close."
Kai nodded, following his uncle. He smirked softly.
Katie looked down at her frozen fur. She sighed softly, tired. She began to pull, straining her neck and pushing herself forward. The chains began to crack before finally, with a glasslike tinkle, it clashed with the floor. She smiled. "I can get out the window, Will you meet up with me after, Mama?" Katie asked, tilting her head.She shook herself, the remnants of the collar falling to the floor.

Dusty nodded. "I hope so, how do you handle the pups running into skunks so often?"
"I hope you feel better sis." said Cachen, worried for his sister.
Lena smiled to Kai. "Well this is a first, getting skunked on perpose."
Lenatai nodded. "Sure, after I turn into a skunk and spray that mean old jerk." she said. "Well, I'll get to find out what a skunk feels like when it sprays!"

Tai nodded. "I will," she said smiling softly "Just keep talking to me. You're always so happy and sweet. You make me feel lots better."
Kai couldn't help but laugh.
Katie nodded, trotting to the window."Here goes nothing, Mama."

"You'd never hurt your babies...on perpose...I'm still so sorry for what happened...for almost breaking up your family...why can't I forgive myself?" asked Dusty, looking at her paws, she felt still so ashamed for what happened, even though she didn't know about Katie, she still felt guility.
Cachen nodded. "Sure Tai, you're sweet too." he said, smiling cutely.
"But I don't think any of us will ever get porcupined on perpose!" said Lena, giggling.
Lenatei nodded and disappeared into snow, flying out of the window where she reformed as a skunk. "Good luck honey." she said and walked over to Titan's dog house in the back yard and scratched at the side of his doghouse.
Titan snarled and walked out. "Whose there? You want to die?" he asked, then the next thing he saw was a skunk lifting its tail at him. "Uh oh." he muttered as the skunk seemed to chuckle before spraying him right in the face. He fell to the ground, coughing and hacking, covering his nose tight. "Yuck! What was that for you little stinker?!" he yelled.
Lenatei trotted off to meet up with Katie, giggling.

Kodi put a paw on back comfortingly. "It'll take some time...for me, too." he said. He had come to terms with the fact that it was his fault that Dusty felt this way. That he had almost destroyed what he had created.
Tai giggled softly, resting her head in Bashkei's fur. She smiled sweetly at Cachen.
Kai laughed. "That'll be the day after we make a mother cougar angry, right?" he asked jokingly.
Katie breathed softly, jumping up. She grabbed the edge of the window with her forepaws, and began to haul herself up. When she was halfway through, she had to force her way through the window. With a pop, Katie landed in a gray heap on the snowy ground. Smiling, she stood up, looking about. she sniffed the air and began to walk, knowing her Mother could catch up.

Dusty nodded. "Maybe helping Katie will let me forgive myself...knowing I helpped do something to repay the pain we caused her."
Cachen nodded. "You're pretty too, you get your beuty from Grandma, Lena gets hers from momma."
"...Isn't Kira like a mother cougar? She did adopt those two baby mountain lions!" said Lena, wagging her tail.
Lenatei walked up, still in skunk form, and because she'd just sprayed smelled like skunk musk a little bit. Despite what they'd said, Mako's stink bombs WEREN'T worse than skunk spray. "I sprayed him."

Kodi smiled. "Anything it takes for you to forgive yourself, I'll be behind you." he said, in all honesty and friendship.
Tai blushed, laughing softly. "Thanks Cachen..." she said, closing her eyes slowly. "You're not too bad looking yourself. Everyone's always so amazed at how much you look like Grandpa."
Kai nodded, smiling wide. "Yea. Those kittens were really small last time we saw them."
Katie smiled, looking very pleased. "That'll teach him..." she said, grinning now. she continued to walk. "Before my family gets anywhere near me, I have to wash off all this blood..."

"Yeah...what if one of us has a kid that looks like grandma?" asked Cachen with a chuckle.
Lena nodded. "They were babies, we were once that little."
Lenatei turned back to normal. "Let's find some water." she said. "But preferably warm water."

Kodi's eyes went soft. "Katie's not like that...she doesn't hold grudges against anyone. Trust me, you're both a lot like each other."
Tai laughed gently. "What if Momma does?' she asked.
Kai nodded. "I remember." he said, liking the memories of when they were little.
Katie chuckled. "Yes, Mama. Warm water in the middle of winter."

Tai nodded, giggling. "I feel bad though, a lot of us look like dogs."
"Yea," said Kai, smiling wide. "She was really nice!"
Katie nodded, looking down. "And having to like to three week old pups."

"Aren't you the only one that looks like a dog?" asked Cachen, confused.
Lena nodded. "Yeah...I wonder where she went..."
Lenatei nodded. "Not to mention fight an evil, manmade super soldier from 2009...which is what, 50 years from now?"
