When Angel's owner took her out of the car, a very high-pitched whine came from Riley. The dog sat in the car and looked out the window at the door Angel had entered the building at.

"Well," May said and sat down. "That was fast. Anyway I've gotta leave. See you guys later." Before she actually left, May looked at Rin and winked.
Watching the collie leave, Rin couldn't help but blush.

The howling only made the pain ache deeper in his chest. YES! Riley yelled in his mind.

What is she talking about? Rin thought. "Huh? Gia?!" The older dog sprang up and ran after Gia.
"Where are you going?!" T.P shouted and dashed after Rin. He STILL didn't trust this guy!

Riley wrenched out of his new owner's grasp and dashed into the building. Now he stood in a large waiting room; Riley's eyes searched every part of the room for Angel.

Rin saw Gia and barked happily. "There you are-!" Rin tripped over a tree root and tumbled straight into Gia.
T.P skidded to a stop before he ran into the root, too.
Jasper followed closely behind the gang's leader.

May sighed and walked through her new "home", looking for adventure. She had only been in the town for two days, but she hadn't done much exploring since she arrived from Kansas.

Riley couldn't figure out where Angel's howls were coming from! Frustrated and scared, the husky sat down where he was and howled back.
