The bigger dog smashed his paw into Scamp's ribs and a devilish grin crept across his face.

Bruce finally arrived at the fight and saw that gray puppy who lived with the white collar one he liked. Another dog was there, too, and Bruce immediately recognized him as a member of Buster's old gang; the ones who killed his parents.

Scamp yelped in pain. He didn't know what to do. What could he do? He needed help!

Angel heard Scamp's yelp. She gasped. Scamp! She ran to where Scamp was, and saw a bigger dog attacking him. She needed to do something, but what? She had an idea. She crept behind the bigger dog, and quickly snapped it's tail.

Metro roared in pain and surprise; he whirled around to try and bite Angel, but due to her hanging onto his stubby tail, Metro just ended up running around in circles.

Since Metro was now distracted by the girl puppy, Bruce decided that it was now time to rush in and see if the gray one was alright.

Angel kept spinning and spinning, but if this is what it took to save Scamp, she would do it.

Scamp yelped in pain. He saw a blurry dog coming toward him. "Who are y-you?" Scamp stammered.

"Just get up and run!" Bruce demanded in a British accent. He quickly sat Scamp up and yelled at Angel to run, too.

Metro spun, and spun, and spun...until he got extremely dizzy and fell.

Scamp started to run, but slowed down causeof how everything was so blurry. "Where am I?" he asked.

Angel raced past Scamp, running to their home. "Come on Scamp," she yelled behind her, but didn't look back. She was too busy getting away from the dog she attacked.

It took the mastiff mix a few seconds to regain his balance, but when he did, Metro was already cashing the three of them.

"If you don't pick up the pat, you're dead!" Bruce warned them as Metro advanced on the group.

Scamp heard Bruce's words, and although couldn't see that well, hurried on very fast. He could make out shapes at least.

"Come on Scamp!" she yelped. "Hurry! He's gaining on us!" She ran until she could see the house. But the other dog, not Bruce, was gaining on them.

Metro was right on them, but he was wept out of the way by black dog. He landed and skidded for a few seconds before finally stopping.
"You, wanna mess with my boy, eh?" the black dog said in an Italian accent. He was a bit smaller than Metro, but was heavy-set; his raggedy-looking fur was obviously flea-ridden and he had dark brown markings around his eyes and white ears.

Peggy and Cyril jumped and both said :"Stay away from them." They snapped

The black dog growled and Metro kicked him in the chest, sending him flying backwards. "Spike, stay outta my way!" he yelled.

"Hurry Scamp!" Angle yelped. "Hurry!" Trying to help Scamp, she dragged him back to their house. She panted. "Scamp?" she asked.

"Yes, Angel?"

"A-are you okay?"

"Yeah," he replied. "I'm fine. We should probably be going in." And with that Scamp went inside the fresh warm house. It felt so good to be back home!

Metro stood up only to see that the three puppies were already out of sight. He growled and turned to face Spike, but the other dog had scrambled to his feet and was running off into the night.

"We're safe!" Scamp said. He could make out details now, but only slightly.

"Yes," Angel replied. "Together forever, eh?"

Scamp chuckled. "Yeah," he said. He nuzzled Angel, than by himself, walked out the doggie door. He looked around the neighborhood.
