"Patience, sometimes, you have to wait a while." Shane tipped him.

Nickel nodded and remained motionless as he eyed a big fish.

The fish moved towards Nickel's paw, and bit it.

Nickel yelped, more out of fear then pain, he had expected to attack it, not have it attack him. The pup jumped back away from the water with wide eyes.

Shane stood up, snapping up the fish and tossing it onto shore. He licked Nickel's paw and smiled.
"You okay there?"

"It bit me!" he barked. "The stupid thing bit me!"

"You gotta be quick with the big ones, they do bite." Shane said with a small laugh.

Nickel scuffed at the fish, kicking it. "I'm not gonna let no stupid fish bite me ever again.."

"Well, eventually you'll find greater pains than a little fish bite." Shane joked, nosing the fish towards Nickel.

Nickel huffed and looked up at Shane. "Can we bring it to momma?" he asked curiously.

"Of course! You wanna try and catch a big fish to show her too?" Shane said with a bright smile.

Nickel nodded. "Yea," he said and moved to the water. "I really like the water," he said. "Its all cool and pretty."

Nickel nodded and waited, when he saw a fish his ears perked forward intently. The moment the fish neared his paw he lashed out, scooping the fish out of the water. He quickly jumped on it.

"Good job!" Shane said, picking up his own fish. "Ready?"
