Kyler felt the air in her lungs freeze when she saw Ellis, knowing it was because of her and Damien that he would look like that from the rest of his life. Guilt flooded over her, and no matter how much she hated him, Kyler couldn't shake this feeling she tried so long to forget. Eventually, she looked away, deciding she wouldn't answer.
Ellis flicked his gaze to Kyler, and he smirked at her, narrowing his eyes with a devious grin tugging at his mouth. "It's too bad I haven't learned my lesson." he said, then turned back to Damien. "You've got some serious guts coming back here."

Ellis shrugged nonchalantly, the mocking smile still on his face. "I dunno, brother." he said, "But I'm not gonna lie, I'm a romanticist. A ladies' man." With every sentence he stepped closer to him, obnoxiously getting in his face. "But you wouldn't hit me again." he sneered. "If you do, I'll be prepared this time."
Kyler could tell this was going to escalate if he continued, and she allowed Damien to defend her, and she feared for the both of them. Don't do it... she said in her mind, as if Ellis could read it and would back off.

Ellis blinked and sneered back at him, as if unphased. "That's the problem with you, buddy-boy." he retorted. "You're too materialistic. You think I need my dashing features to woo the chicks, but the truth is, you;re only saying that because you can relate." He flashed his gaze to Kyler, then back. "We both know the only reason she's here, now don't we?"
Carmen shuffled closer to Ellis and whispered severely, "What the hell are you doing?"

Ellis fell back when Damien punched him in the jaw, but he caught his footing soon after. Blood flowed from his lip, and he laughed at him. "Go on!" he shouted, a lisp forming because of his split lip. "Go ahead! Toast me!" he teased as he caused muddy earth to form around his fist, then harden into rock. He laughed and took a swing at Damien like a crazy person.
Kyler inhaled sharply when they began to fight. She tried to yell, tried to tell them to stop, but no words came out. All she could do was stand there, dumbfounded, and watch. She was afraid that if she got involved and dove in there, she could end up with missing teeth.

Carmen angrily stormed over to Ellis and slapped him hard across the face, then grabbed his throat and maneuvered it so he would look at her. "What the f**k is wrong with you?!" she screamed at him, her fingertips now glowing red. "Get ahold of yourself!" she scolded again before finally letting go.
Ellis still smiled coolly while Carmen screamed at him, even though he winced when her fingertips began to burn his neck. He stared hard at Damien, then allowed a crooked grin to creep across his face, a line of blood running down from his mouth.
Kyler hurried over and wordlessly grabbed Damien's arm. "Dear Lord!" she said worriedly. "Do we have to keep you both on opposite sides of the planet?"

Kyler pushed her hand against Damien's chest to keep him from trying to get at Ellis again, and she said sternly but quietly, "Control yourself."
"Yeah." jeered Ellis, trying to shove past Carmen but failing. "Control yourself, O Fearless Leader!"
Tara had her face buried in her hands. "Everyone stop fighting..." she begged into her palms, getting choked up on oncoming tears. "Please..."

Tara wrapped her arms around Chase's neck and buried her face in his shoulder, trying not to cry. She hated when people fought and didn't understand why people who lived on the same planet would. "I hate fighting..." she cried into his shoulder.
Carmen grabbed the back of Ellis' neck with her burning fingertips. "Stop talking or you'll never talk again." she threatened.
Ellis shut up, but he kept that insane smile as he glared at Damien.
Kyler tightened her grip on Damien's arm and told him, "Dymitri's got a point. You're going to have to learn from him sooner or later."

Ellis thought for a moment, smirking at himself and looking all around, and then snapped, "Dymitri, could you take these things off so we could shake on it?"
Kyler looked at him strangely, hoping he won't pull anything without the darkness shackles on.
