"I am going home. You are going to stay here and choose a new leader." he coughed, his mouth strangely dry from the wind. His voice was gruff and sarcastic which made a strange growling muffle. Yet, he pushed through the snow, barely visible now.

Russet looked around for any signs of paw prints, but the trail they had left behind was covered in a new blanket of snow. He peered behind him, but the trail he had left was gone as well. He gasped quietly and tried to find any signs of direction, but he couldn't. He was lost. And cold. Plus, it was getting dark because of the storm now. Russet headed under a tree, nothing else able to protect him. He was still cold, but most of the snow was shielded off by the large tree. He soon fell asleep, his paws numb with cold, his body and mind exhausted. His vision went black, his mind was blank. Again he had a strangely real dream that he was there with Delilah.

Suddenly, Russet's dream turned into a nightmare. He saw himself, his body, limp on the ground. He had died and was now watching himself in the form of an angel. Delilah was next to his body, crying and nudging it, hoping he would move by himself. She nuzzled him and lay next to him. She was shivering, sadness in her eyes, knowing that just laying next to him wouldn't warm her anymore. Russet watched in horror as his vision of it was blurred and he was soon in his version of hell, Julius laughing at him, the mocking laughter that was permanentely burned into his mind. At that moment Russet woke with a shudder, and got up slowly. He paced back and forth, trying to warm his paws once more and trying to forget his nightmare.

OOC: I know, right? The part where she nudges him and sits next to him reminds me of when Mufasa dies in the Lion King. Lol

Russet looked up at the sky. Again, there wasn't a single star, the moon was gone. His path wasn't lighted. You're like the moon to me. You light up my path and keep me on track. Russet grimaced and wondered if Delilah could see him as well.

Russet sat down again with a sigh. He tried to go back to sleep again, but couldn't.

Russet finally saw the sun peek out from under the horizon. The storm had finshed and with that he began padding along towards Delilah again. He stopped as he heard his stomach grumble and decided he should eat something. He stalked a rabbit, being the only thing he could catch with his weakening hunger. As he pawed at the rabbit's hide to capture it a strange feeling came over him. Like he didn't deserve to eat, he wasn't worth the death of a rabbit. He frowned and watched the rabbit hop off, shimmering in the weak sunlight.

Russet padded on, hungry and sleepy. He should have never left, but he couldn't do much else anymore. He wondered what the pack was doing, but shook his head and tried to think of happyness. He thought of his life with Delilah, his future with the pups. The pups.

Russet groaned, not knowing if he could walk anymore. He continued at a quicker pace, knowing that he would be with Delilah.

OOC: Something should probably happen, so when he gets to the house, they're not there or something to block the happiness and have the plot make sense.
