Maura dragged a deer behind her by the neck. She had been put in charge of the hunting since Jenna didn't know how and taka spent most of his time helping balto around. "here." she tore a chunk of the meat off and set it infront of balto so he wouldn't have to strain himself any more. "be careful, balto..." she murmered. She really did hope he got better.

Taka nuzzled Maura "You're an angel Maur" he smiled. The young wolfdog tore off some meat for himself and sat down to eat it "you know what I think" he said "I think Its time we pay our old husky friend a visit" he said. Taka smiled evil.

((You mean Balto?))

Maura grinned. She hadn't had fun with Steele in a while. "I'm up for it!"

Taka smiled and yawned "Yeah, I havent seen him, well ever but I havent heard pof him since I got my sight back" he said standing up. He sniffed the air "No sighn of anything round here...Seems like the packs moved on and the huskys are staying where they shoul" he contemplated "Or my trackings not as good as it was"

((No, she said 'I'll stay and watch TAKA." or whatever. i was saying, did you mean balto?))

"It could be... You hear that creatures with disabilities are stronger in other areas... maybe now that you got your sight back, then your tracking went down..."

((She said I'll be there to watch Taka, I think it meant She'll be there to watch Taka beat up Steele))

Taka nodded "It still feels strange though...You know, Having my sight but my other sense seeming less alert" he looked confused for a second before shaking his head "Doesnt matter" he smiled.

Maura smiled. She sympathized him. Not being able to see your whole life would be tough, but getting it all back in one day would be even worse.

Taka sighed and looked around "hey Maur, Wheres Akira? I ahvent seen her for,ugh, Ages"

((lol I kinda dropped her))

"Oh...." Maura looked depressed at the mention of her old friend. When she had been bulllied as an alpha pup, she ran into the woods, where she found Akira, diing, with blood covering her whole body. She had helped Akira get better, and in return, Akira promised her a life-long friendship. She had been Maura's only friend, until one day, her brother had popped her leg out of it's joint, and she ran to Akira for help. Akira had fixed her up, and they heard a roar, and met Taka fighting off a bear. Now she had other friends. "I thought you knew.... S-she ran off with Tatsuo after that big forest fire..." Her ears flattened against her head and she again felt like the helpless pup she had been just moons ago... "So much for a life-long friendship..." She murmered to herself. Tilting her head back, she let out a long howl in a language that they had made up when they were young. 'Will I ever see you again?'

((I thought as much...We might as well explain why she suddenly disapeared though))

"Oh" said Taka dully, He thought about it. Friends,family..They never seemed to last. His mother had been killed by a hunter,His dad had walked out on them, Whisper had run away to live with her best friend, Balto was carrying on with Jenna. That ast thought depressed him the most, The fact his little brother didnt need him there to talk to, or play with or the gazilion other things they'd done together The fact that Balto had a life of his own now. Taka sighed and placed his head on his paws, His eyes shifting upwards as they often did when he was deep in thought, Maura seemed to be the only person in a long time who'd be there forever, But maybe that wouldnt last either.
