Inside the room, Shay winced at all the machines, and the surgical tools. Unless she was hallucinating, the room had been recently used; there were faint blood spatters on a few of the scalpels. A shiver raced down her spine, and she sidled closer to Zane. "This place is giving me the willies," she murmured nervously, tension knotting her muscles.

Ooc:// Should they be discovered? It would be kinda fun, but it's your call. I'm fine with whatever you choose.

Ooc:// Alright. It should prolly happen after they fix Viktor. Would you mind playing the doctor before being discovered? I can do after, if you want.

"Where's the doctor?" Shay asked softly, as if Zane knew the answer. She peered out the door, into the empty, sterile hallway. She was trembling, and was glad of Zane's comofrting presence. If it weren't for the fact Viktor was her friend, she would have raced out of the room then and there. That, and the fact that her pride refused to show Zane the embarrassing scene of her having a nervous breakdown.

"We're not sure," Shay said. "That's supposed to be you're job, correct?" To be honest, she had a thing against any doctor. She just never liked them, and this one wsan't improving her opinion. This was a time to be serious. "He's been having these really bad headaches, and during one of them he passed out," she continued, gesturing to his limp frame.

Shay tensed, and looked at Zane, a flicker of panic residing in her wide, blue eyes. If he did that...then he may very well discover the truth about them. Her loyalty to help her friend battled with her desire to stay hidden, and she hesitated, conflicted and torn. Slowly, she nodded, tension defined in every move.

With nothing better to do, a growling stomach, and a need to relieve stress, Shay was struck by inspiration. "We could check out the cafe..." she said slowly, pressing a hand to her complaining stomach.

Shay wanted to relax into his embrace, but the sick feeling of dread residing inside her refused to let her. "You know that...he'll find out about us now," she murmured.

Shay wanted to believe Zane, but wasn't able to. "Yeah. Maybe," she mumbled.

Shay nodded uncertainly, trying to force her doubts and fears away. She headed out of the open door, the antiseptic smell of the hallway burning in her nose.
