Hailey gives him a tired smile,"just a little tired." She watches the pups squirm and yip at each other. Hailey rests her head on her paws as the pups nurse. "Aren't they beautiful?" she whispers. Strae edges out quietly, letting Zion and Hailey have some time alone.

Hailey nuzzles Zion back, "and I'm more than grateful to have you by my side." she sighs contentedly and looks over at the pups. They are quieter and most of them have gone to sleep. "I really can't believe we're parents now." she whispers.

"thank you Zi, you're the best." Hailey closes her eyes and rests while the pups nurse. A while later she wakes up and yawns. The puppies stir next to her. should I get up now? can I leave them alone? or will they get too cold? Her thoughts drift, I wonder were Zion is?

Zion soon returns to the den with a few fish in his mouth "Your always awake when im back " he smiled "i sorry of the less fish this time, they all aware of me now they flee easier but please enjoy" he drops the fish by haileys head "you not moved from that spot since birth, must be geting annoying"

"it is kind of uncomfortable, but I can't leave them alone." Hailey eats her portion of the fish. "Zion, could you stay with them just for a couple minutes? I need to get up and move around just for a short time. I'll be back quickly, i promise!" one of the pups yips and smells his way over to Zion.

Zion smiles to the pup, "ofcouse i stay with them. just hope they wont bite at my stomach" Zion helps hailey to her feet and lies down in her spot "So waem"

Hailey chuckles, "they won't bite you, they're not hungry at least for now. Thanks hun, this means a lot to me," she kisses him gently and walks outside, "aahhhh.... I can stretch my legs.." several of the puppies make their wy over to Zion sniffing him curiously. One little puppy crawls right up to his paws and squeaks.

Zion smiles so happily. hes no longer scared of being a father, he blinks when one pup climbs onto his nose but falls of and he laughs alittle " so cute what was i thinking of being scared? you all are just cute and.your all are under my protection, you never leave my side and you will have a great life. i just know it" he licks at some of the pups and relaxs while the pups sniff and climb on him

The pups get to know their father and its an immediate and strong bond. A small female snuggles next to Zion, she seems weaker than all the rest. one of the males blindly topples over her. The female squeaks in pain and surprise, she buries her small face into Zion's fur.
Meanwhile...
Hailey stretches and breathes deeply.. ahh freedom.. Wonder how the kids are doing with their father. I'm sure they're fine.Something rustles in the underbrush. A rabbit! must catch that rabbit! I can't stay still knowing its there!Hailey rushes off a little stiffly towards the prey, after chasing it in circles she finally catches it and drags it over to the cave.

Zion nudges the male away and takes the small female closer to him in comfort "well arnt you a sweet one" he smiled and notices haileys rabbit return " wow dear you caught that yourself?"
