"Iron." said Luke. "That's a nice name." he said. "I want my momma." he said, looking down. "But see...the dog he..." Luke burst into tears.

"He bit her throat and..." Luke cried then burst into tears and buried his face in Iron's shoulder. "So much blood...she's gone..." he said, reasonably tramatized. "...Hunters shot my dad too...I don't have anyone left..."

Luke looked up, tears still clinging to his eyes. "Really?" he asked. "Thank you." he said. "That means a whole lot." he said and walked over to where the chain conected to the wall and bit it, starting to pull, it was a little loose but Luke wasn't nearly strong enough. "Its not solidly stuck in the wall. Maybe we can pull it out togather."
Balto looked at the lights of the city coming into view. "Alright, there's town." he said. "Dawne, does MAko still live in the same in the same house?"

"A little bit." said Luke. "I think we're both tired." he said. "But we've got to try...they want to kill me too." he said sadly. "I don't want to die..." he said, on the verge of crying but went back to pulling despite tears running down his cheeks.

"Alright, lets get going." said Balto, heading towards that madhouse. "We'll need to watch out for Mammoth and Titan."
The chain finally came a good foot out of the wall but was still in. "That worked." said Luke, rubbing his jaw. "Can we rest a little? This is hard work..."

Luke got up and helpped pull. Finally the chain wrenched free from the wall. Luke laid down, panting. "We got it." he said. He snuggled against Iron, shivering from the cold rock floor. "What do we do now?"
"Wait, Mako probably knows we're coming...which means." said Balto, his eyes going wide. "He's going to try to kill Iron...Steele, did he ever act like he was going to drown you?" he asked, remembering Titan mentioning Mako enjoyed kill dogs like that.

"He tried to drown me and my family in his basement." said Balto. "Man it was terrfing!" he said. "We've got to hurry."
Luke let out a low whine, seeing Iron's neck had been bleeding. He came up next to him and licked the wound, trying to be helpful.

"I just hope we're not too late." said Balto.
Luke nodded. "I just wanted to make it feel better." he said. "I know that must hurt."
