Yesterday I checked out The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster at the school library. So far it's a very nice book. It's about a young boy named Milo who looks forward to nothing and is always rather bored. One day when he comes home from school, he finds a toy tollbooth in his bedroom. He decides to play the game that the instructions that it comes with tell him about, so he drives his toy car up to the tollbooth, puts a coin in the coin box, and continues driving. Then for some bizarre reason he is driving through the land of Expectations. It's a lot of fun to read because it plays with everyday sayings (In the city of Dictionopolis, they ate their words, literally. ) and everything you know naturally.

Currently, I've been reading Robinson Crusoe. I've just finished the first two pages. I'm thinking those Reading tests are inaccurate, for how can one have a 12.9+ reading level, and be confused by a 12.3 reading level book? Maybe the book was leveled inaccurately, like The Phantom Tollbooth, or maybe I'm just a nincompoop.

Currently, I am reading a compilation of H.P. Lovecraft stories (released under the title of "The Horror at Red Hook", which is one of the stories included in the book). I just recently finished reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (great book, highly recommended)
