Shani grinned. "Now that's something I'd have to do even if it's not on my to-do list." She laughed.

Shani flicked her tail in farewell. Then, the golden lioness turned to look at the cubs. "So, what do you two want to do?"

Shani laughed. "Okay." she said, finding it hard to resist their little smiles. "Who's going to be the seeker?"

Sayari flicked his tail. "Make sure I don't see you running away." he grinned. He turned around and closed his eyes while counting. Shani, in the meantime, picked Carissa by the scruff and took her to a secret den behind Pride Rock. "This is where we'll hide." she said.

"Not if he knows this place." Shani whispered. "I'll tell you something. This den right here is where I used to go when I needed some comforting. Rafiki had said that there was a den at the back of Pride Rock where the spirits live and protect our land. I stumbled upon it when I was playing Hide-and-Seek with your mom and uncle."

Shani nodded. "Yes, this was the one place where I felt like I wasn't alone. I came here all the time when your mother and uncle were fighting over your father. I was caught in between their argument and felt like I was so alone. But, when I was here, I was one with the spirits and they comforted me and gave me advice."

"I didn't fight." Shani explained. "Your mother and Uncle Chaka fought because that was the time when your father came around. Chaka never liked Alonzo, and was always picking fights with him. But, your mother was taking a liking to your father and was ready to defend him. Your mother and Chaka were always fighting then, and I was caught in between."
