Kisasi bent over and took one of the gazelle's legs and padded over to one corner of the cave to eat in peace. He watch Hatima and Karani each take a leg as well, leaving the full body and one leg for Dalika and Mazatine.

Kisasi saw Dalika and Mazatine tear hungrily into the gazelle. They picked the bones clean in record time. They really were starving, Kisasi thought.

Kisasi stood up and padded out of the cave, he needed fresh air to calm him down. He padded down to the lake and slipped into the cool water. He dove down to the bottom of the lake, welcoming the silence of the clear water.
