Jaidee rolled back over into a normal laying position. He got up and walked over to the small window. He looked out to see all of the people walking by. He rested his head on the window seal, leaving smudges on the cold window with his wet nose. He saw a few kids walking by with their own pet dogs. 'Must be nice to live with people' he thought.

"Yeah?" Jaidee said looking back at Bandit. "Guess I should know, since I lived with some. But only a short time." He walked away from the window. "Never got to really experience it I guess... Were your people good to you?"

Akira was relieved to see Kali all bandaged up. She looked over at Jaidee, and smiled. She tuned into their convorsation. "Its not so much people," Akira began. "Mark and... and Spencer were the greatest. Mark, well hes... hes dead." Her eyes fogged up as she spoke. "Spencer was away at collage and he couldn't take me and no one else could or would."

"I'm so sorry..." Jaidee said to Akira he walked over to her and nuzzled her shoulder. "My people were older.....and they didn't treat me well, but I believe ther are good people out there...." He looked at Akira with a warm smile. "I plan to meet them one day."

"Jaidee, I'm sorry, and I hope you do meet them one day." Akira nuzzled him back.
"You guys, don't feel bad. The past is behind me. I'd love to see Spencer, but you guys are like family." Akira's eyes cleared up and she looked around the room curiously.

"Yeah. My family didn't really leave me or die or treat me bad. They just left me alone for a while and someone stole me. I escaped but never found my owners again. So...here I am, really," Bandit sighed.

"I'm sorry Bandit. Do you still wish you could go back?" Jaideee knew everybody had it worse off then him. He could let it go, but their were people out there that loved his friends.

Jaidee smiled back at Bandit. With a yawn he fell asleep next to the warmth of the fire place.
