Rainstorm let her cheerful act drop, her amber eyes like flames as they stared, or more accurately, glared, at the silver she-cat.

Silverclaw narrowed her eyes at Rainstorm, her amber eyes blazing like flames, looking like Tigerstar. "What is it?" she asked. "It couldn't be more obvious that your not here to give me a friendly lick." she meowed.

Rainstorm was momentarily silent, wondering how she should put her anger into words that wouldn't provoke more than a barbed response. EVentually, she went with a blunt question that would get into the heart of the matter. "Why do you want to be like a traitor and a murderer?"

Silverclaw stared into Rainstorm's eyes, amber to amber, kin to kin. They shared the same blood. And I'm willing to spill hers if I must. she thought. "Tigerstar was a great warrior. But I will learn from his mistakes. With his help, someday, I will be Silverstar. And he wants you to be with us, training night by night. But now he thinks your too weak."

"If being "weak" means not having to train with Tigerstar then I'm proud to call myself that," Rainstorm spat.

Silverclaw narrowed her eyes one more. "I don't see how you could be so stupid. He's helping me to be a good warrior, just like he was. Would you rather live up to our father- a strong, brave warrior- or our mother- a lying, frightened rouge. I'd choose being a warrior any day."

"I amm a warrior, Silverclaw," Rainstorm said, the venom in her voice increasing somewhat. "But I'll never be a traitor."

Silverclaw narrowed her amber eyes. "Rainstorm, I ask you one more time to join Tigerstar and I to train with us in dreams." she said politely. "Tigerstar would appreciate-"

A brown spotted tabby pushed her way through the crowd. She stared at Silverclaw. "Silverclaw, its time to join our clan mates." she meowed.

Rainstorm shot one last look at Silverclaw, shaking her head fractionally before padding off.

Leopardfang and Silverclaw padded off together, and joined their Clan.

Rainstorm's tail was lashing back and forth in frustration, and she tried to stop the motion as she sat down. Anger had taken a hold on her though, and it's grip wouldn't be released that easily.

"Let all the clans gather beneath Silverpelt!" Tabbystar yowled from the highrock.

Rainstorm found herself next to Mudnose, a gruff tom who had led the patrol in which she had met Silverclaw. He dipped her head briefly in her direction, as a sign of greeting. It was curt, due to the fact he never quite got over how secretive she had become.

"Leafstar, come up here." she called.

Leafstar moved upwards, and was soon standing slightly behind the Shadowclan leader.
