I'm probably wasting my time with this, but the deactivation system doesn't appear to be working the way it should be. Even though this really has nothing to do with the deactivation system itself, I still feel it fits in. Anyway, the ability to block people from sending you PMs doesn't appear to be working the way it should be. I recently received a PM from a member that I have on my ignore list. I have checked the possibilities. The user did not make a new account (they did change their username), and I have them blocked on here and the site. Alright, now for the REAL issues. Questions pageSince the real questions page is having an issue with spambots, I decided to do the site and staff a favor by deactivating the page and make a new one to replace it. Even though my theory did work, the spambots are still spamming the original page. I'm no computer expert, so I don't know if the original questions page is infected like a virus, or if this is due to the fact page is still accessible by ANYONE. http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en/questions/Example: And no, I did not post that comment. It could have either been a troll that knows the URL to the page, or some kid who clicked on one of the questions under the "What's new today?" And believe me, the page is properly deactivated. 1st-Ask Questions-Browse-Activate-EditMove Page name-Status-Edit info-Delete Questions list Activate Edit Another example, which really isn't important, is that I, out of curiosity, tried to see if I could deactivate the shoutboxes on Fox and The Hound Source. Like the questions page, the pages were still accessible, even logged out. So it seems to me that the deactivation system is only deactivating the links from the site, not the actual URL.

Deactivating pages has ALWAYS done that; it's just prevented you from seeing links to said pages. If you have the URL for the page, you can access it even after it's deactivated. It's been that way for as long as I can remember, though I don't believe it's been advertised.
But yes, that needs fixed. Otherwise any page can be created and shared with the world without it ever "existing"; I can see trolls and hackers abusing this quite a lot.
As for the "ignore" feature... well, I've been doing some experimenting with that. Turns out that no, it WON'T block PMs on the main site (but will here.) It WON'T prevent you from seeing that person's posts (though it will here). It WILL prevent you from seeing that they posted it in the "recent posts" thing. And it will prevent you from seeing any messages they post in the shoutbox. It will not, however, prevent that person from posting on your profile as a comment, which I think is the BIGGEST thing that needs to be changed; otherwise they can troll the living dylights out of you, or at least annoy you when the whole purpose of the ignore feature is to prevent that from happening.

I don't know if you'd consider this a "bug" or not... but why do I keep getting "can't be bigger than 600px wide" for my sig when the new width limit is 1000px? 8/

About the old question page, it's free to acces from this big bar at the bottom of the site: Quote: Questions? Ask and get answers here!

When I click on a character's page, the page does not load correctly. The side bar doesn't load, the menu on the banner doesn't load, and down where the comments should be, this error appears: fatal error: Call to undefined function showFavorites() in /usr/home/steetboris/animsource/inc/chars.php on line 329

I believe many people know about this one already:
The "members connected" lists on the Sources isn't refreshing. Anyone who has been connected within the last 8 hours or so is still listed as connected, even if they have left. This is especially true in the shout boxes; on Balto Source alone, there are 45 people in the box, but perhaps only 3 or 4 people, tops, actually in there.

Well, I know I saw this when I opened up Balto Source this morning. lol It has since normalized. Though, truth be told, it would be nice if a person were actually able to, you know, click on that "+ [number] other visitors" and actually be able to SEE who's online at any given time...instead of it remaining an unclickable mystery... http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/9829/wtfrl.jpg

The "visitors" are people who are looking at the website but aren't connected under a username; this could be anyone from bots to actual people without accounts - or are simply not logged in to their accounts.
But yes, that weird glitch normalized.

JerseyCaptain wrote: Nevertheless, the list of members online shown does not accurately show who's actually signed in to Animation Source as far as I am aware. It simply shows who's on a particular source at the moment (and maybe not even EVERYONE who's on a source at the moment). So I still say it would be nice to be able to see that. It may be worth starting a new topic about this particular issue. From what I can tell, this is a designated feature (the +X amount of guests), not necessarily a bug.

Not that Steet will read or review it, anyway...
