Bashkei smiled wider. "I would have never thought the little whiners I heard a year ago would grow so fast, and be so gifted and strong."
Goldie nodded. "She's got you and your brother and sisters to think about. Any mother would be a good escape artist." she said with a laugh.

Balto chuckled. "They've grown, that's pups for you." he said, smiling. "They're cute."
Cachen nodded. "So that's where Lena and Tai get it!" he said, smiling.

Bashkei closed his eyes. "I wish I wasn't so prideful. Then I could've accepted my daughter's feelings for your son...and been apart of their lives." he seemed to truly regret his choices.
Goldie shook her head, laughing. "You're so silly, Cachen."

"Sometimes things work out for the best." said Balto. "It'll make being a fully family all the better."
"I get it from grandpa." said Cachen, smiling cutely.

Bashkei nodded, looking up at the sky. "There is truth in what you say."
Kai smirked, getting off his little brother. "I can't keep going with that face-you know what it does to me." he joked, grinning.

Balto nodded. "I've been through a lot of weird situations, so I know what I'm talking about."
Cachen gave another cute look to annoy his brother.

Bashkei chuckled. "you're not the only one...You've met Nava, and you know his powers...try talking to a brother that refuses to separate from a tree." he smirked. "That's weird."
Kai fell over dramatically, pretending to be hurt. "Oh! Ow!! Its. Too. Cute!!!!!"

Balto chuckled. "Yeah, that'd be pretty weird." he said. "Never did figure out how he did that."
Cachen laughed. "And you say I'm silly." he said to Goldie.
"Come on guys, we need to keep going!" said Lena, giggling.

Bashkei laughed. "He was gifted. Always was. I remember when his foot fused with a stone..." he smiled, thinking of how young his brother was. "And now, he willfully fuses with nature. His daughter could be capable of it, but Neveen.." he shook his head. "Family is odd. Isn't it?"
Goldie smiled and circled him, tickling her tail under his chin. "you ARE silly-but cute!" she giggled playfully.
Tai opened her eyes slowly, blinking sleep from her eyes. She snuggled into the warm fur, and could remember her Mother through Bashkei's scent.

"So he was just born that way?" asked Balto. "Will my daughter Aleu ever be able to?"
Cachen blushed. "So are you." he said, heading after his family.

Bashkei nodded. "The power lays dormant until a year later." he shrugged "But sometimes they find out later than that." he said, shrugging again. "No one can say, Balto. If her power is exercised enough, she may be able to."
Goldie giggled, blushing as well.

"So its just an Alpha wolf thing?" asked Balto. "That's intresting...does that mean you can do some of those things?"
Cachen giggled. "You're a good girlfriend."

Bashkei smiled. "Our granddaughters aren't alphas." he shook his head "I have nothing but sheer size and strength." he said, laughing.
Goldie giggled. "And you're a good boyfriend."

"Aleu is an alpha." corrected Balto.
"So you think we're in for a fight when we find momma?" asked Cachen, worried about that.

"Leadership is a key trait in both our families." said Bashkei, smirking lightly.
"If," Goldie said, scared. "If that Mako man is serious about keeping her..."
