Unfortunatly, some people out there are really screwed up, wheither they were raised by crappy parents, or they just have no sense of right or wrong, or are very mentaly ill. That's why this kind of thing needs to be dealt with, cause it is still a serious problem today.

Well im very proud of you, and you know what? don't apoligize, the attacker does not deserve one, so tell the princible that you won't and that you cannot make me, by doing that will show him but also others that you stood up for what you belived in, and well I am proud of you ether way, but if you don't want to then say F**k you im not going to, yes it sounds very young and assinine, but to me it's right because it's standing up and not falling under his power or will, so say no and walk out, it may get you in more crap, but you more then likely will feel so much better after you do it, sometimes the right thing is not always the better, because if you say sorry, you will feel not as good as if you said no to saying sorry.
Personaly I hate racists, and well if I was you, the next time I saw that kid id kick his A** agian, but thats just me, so don't go getting yourself intruble for what someone else does^^........

2. Various magazines of note (including Time, National Geographic, and U.S. News & World Report) did articles in the recent past which indicate that the "Native American" peoples actually stem from a variety of ancestors from different regions, and not simply from one people (and both archaeological and anthropological evidence supports this). To wit: the peoples of the northwest, west and southwestern part of the new world, and the jungles of South America, are descended from ancestors who crossed the Bering Land Bridge from Asia in prehistory; the peoples of the southeastern U.S. and the Caribbean islands, and some of Central America, are descended from ancient explorer/adventurers from the Mediterranean region (mostly Egypt, ancient Phoenicia, and even Israel); the peoples of the northeastern and central U.S., and south-central and eastern Canada are descended from ancient European explorer/adventurers (including Norsemen). I remember one article from Time magazine, specifically, which approached the issue by looking at forensic evidence...the skull and skeletal structures of various Native American peoples. And their findings were concurrent with the diversification of skull and skeletal structures evident in European, African and Asian peoples. Yes your right. But, I don't see why so much people are so racist. We all are humans it dosn't matter if we have tan skin or white skin! Kakashi, what DarkHusky said in his post is essentially right. In simpler terms, "kids will be kids"...and despite the fact that, when we're teenagers, we like to think we're pretty connected with the world and socially-conscious (which you find, when you're an adult, that you are most definitely NOT), kids and teens still are children. Which means, by that very definition, they're immature (physically, mentally, and developmentally).
And human beings are, by nature, cruel (kids too). It is ridiculous for some people to believe (as I once did) that people are, by nature, innately good. They are not. They are self-interested and selfish. It is in our basic nature...going back looooong into pre-history, where our very survival depended upon taking care of ourselves FIRST. Sadly, that basic instinct evolved into the kinds of negative traits we see in our kind today: greed, avarice, selfishness, egomania, racism, xenophobia, paranoia, cruelty, and all kinds of violent behavior. It takes a concerted effort by an individual to be good at heart, kind and benevolent.
Incidentally, it is an aggregious over-simplification to think racism is defined by aversion to another people because of skin color. And it's a mistake to pin it down to "hate"...which is a convenient label we slap on it to make it easier to justify as being wrong, and easier, in theory, to change. If it were only hate, people suppose, then you can concievably convince someone not to hate another.
But racism isn't actually rooted in hate. It goes much deeper than that. It really goes back to the pre-historic tendencies of our kind...to fear what is different. THAT is deeply ingrained in our make-up, and no amount of grass-roots rallying, speech-making, or forced acceptance is going to change things. That's why people have a basic aversion to other people of different racial origins...different nationalities, languages, etc. And why hetersexuals have an aversion to homosexuals. And it can be cultural differences which feed racism as well. But it all goes back to a deeply-ingrained, almost instinctual fear of what is different. For our modern cultures to try and wish it gone, or force it to be gone is a waste of time, and doomed to failure. It has to occur naturally...and that will probably take another century or more. Since we are impatient, we end up with the kinds of stresses we face.
But kids, like DarkHusky implied, are cruel. Think back...isn't always about a "pecking order" in school, no matter what grade? And there's always the "top dog", and the lowest one. There are kids who get bullied and teased, kids who get forgotten, and kids who are popular. That's also deeply-ingrained in our kind...going back to similiarities with other pack or group-oriented animals, when their young play-fight and jockey for position. WE should be able to control that a bit easier than something like racism. And, in fact, schools in the U.S. are apparently taking those steps. It's a shame for all the teased and bullied kids who never had that protection in times past...even when I was in school.

I read about kids being cruel, but I think that is a bit too general, kids are all different, and lets not forget that grown ups are usually colder then kids, you dont see any eight year olds trying too take over countries and wipe out the jews. (Hitler). But it is true that some kids can be cruel, I would never be cold too someone just for what they are, I accept almost all people, and am opened minded, sure like most people if they get on my bad side I will hold a grudge, but I never judge a book by its cover.

Look at it this way, Roxas: when we finally make contact with a race from another world, it will give those who are incapable of racist sentiments someone brand new to fear and loathe.

True, very true, its the sadness of the dark side of the world, the people who cannot except others, and swim in their own hatered and misery.

DarkHsuky, you have a point but you have done something careless, you've taken children all over the world, and put them into one category and that category is 'Cruel'. I cannot belive what you say when you say kids are naturally cruel, thats a very black and white opinoin, thats like saying all Iraqies are terrarists, though they are out there, it does not mean all of them are. Not all kids are cruel, and thats just the way it is, so don't try and put us all into one single category, life does not work like that.

I'll pretend to ignore that before I get into another fight! EDIT: Oh, HERE'S an idea! I'll stand here with my fist out and I'll give you a chance to walk into it and hurt yourself for my pleasure, so I won't hit you... You just accidentally on purpose walk into my fist! I'm waiting.... (Puts fist out and waits for BS to walk into it).
I'm not sure how to read the context of your post, but I hope you realize that I was joking.

so your saying I should have walked away? No offense but sometimes you have too fight for what you belive, and some people will not listen too words, and wont let you walk away, in summary, kind of a no brainer policy.
