One word, starvation.
Say you're in a desert with no plants or other animals around and you're starving. Then you see a canine walking along. It is terribly injured and starved, but otherwise healthy. It collapses from pain in front of you and is too weak to fight you and will obviously die a long and painful death. Will you continue on, allowing the canine to die slowly and you die slowly as well? Or will you give the canine the quickest death you can and then eat the meat to be fair and and allow you to hopefully live long enough to find a way out of this desert? I would kill the injured canine and eat it, even if it wasn't injured! Eat or be eaten, kill or be killed! If you overpower a canine in the wild, it is your right to kill it and eat it, or you'll starve and be killed and eaten!

Only If I were starving out in the middle of a canadian forest with 2 broken legs and Ive been starving for 5 days. Id pretty much stoop to the level of eating mudd *Wolf meat is somewhere inbetween worms to mudd. for me* So yes in a situation like that, yup. But under any OTHER circumstances, NO! NEVER! I LOVE WOLVES!

A lot of it I could a agree with. "Do like animals just for looks?" that was related to would you eat them if really you had to (Alone, last chance to save yourself from hunger). Eating wolf meat is gross...my first thought. animal abuse is tourture, killing is not. The odd thing is I won't eat meat directly (It's gross), but I'll eat veggies. All of this just makes me glad that wolves are how they are.
out of all of thisI still think nature is misundeerstood by man......

I said "are you crazy?". It depends on your culture, and what you think of animals. Killing a woolf for surival is direct and desperate. We eat domestic animals, I don't mind that. I just don't think I am used to eating something wild. I think it an insult to wolves, but in desperate surivival it is a must. We would kill anything for food in desperate need but killing for anything else is mean (This is applied to wolves)......
Mixied feelings, but that's what I'm getting. I'm in search to understand nature and manitian it.

Yes because, I have at lesast some respect for wolves and they are the ones that need to be saved (Wild animals are dissapering!). Domestic we breed and we will have, but we need to save the bueaties of nature. I guess it all depends in your purpose and situation....

*laughs* You vegetarians. Cows, chickens, etc. are all bred to be eaten like our ancestors did, because it's human nature. At least we;re eating them and not killing them for no reason right? And obviously people are SUPPOSED to eat them, because if we weren't, then we'd all die eating meat XD But if wolves weren't an endangered species and were bred to be eaten like cows and chickens, AND they tasted good, then yeah I would eat wolf meat.

I really see no point in being a vegitarian, because even if you don't eat the meat, it will get thrown out or eaten by somebody else anyway, I mean the animals are already dead, so even if you don't eat it your not saving anything, the only way that would be is if the whole world were vegitarians, and I dont think that would happen. and to answer your question, I don't think I would eat wolf meat, because even if it was good the thought of eating it is still gross..xD

Orginal question, Respectfully no (gross), if I need to (No other option), then I might think about it....
KakashiMeeko: I guess it's what animals you admire (to be a real animal lover I guess you have to respect nature as it is). I think I guess it is okay for us to eat cows, chicked, ect. With animals that we have respect for, wolvesm dogs cats ect. Killing and eating them is unberable. I don't see them as equal.

Don't eat what animal you admire (Dogs, wolves ect), only in desperate survival but that's very rare and I can't imagane the thought. Hmm.. I seem to see that humans are tratiors to their domestic animals (No matter how much they like them they eat them anything). I you taking your view or an animal's view of this?

I put maybe. If somebody came up to me and told me to try it, I'd do it just see what wolf meat tastes like. Can't say I'd eat it on a regular basis, I don't really care for meat, but I wouldn't feel bad for trying it.
Before anybody asks regarding me not caring for meat, it's nothing religious or anything. I just don't care for it.
