No, not one minute, that's why it's only a cameo appearance. Besides, the Aleu one is mostly made with Wolf Quest scenes, so nothing really new.
Dusty is one of the dogs from the sled team, she's part of the new trio. And yes, she looks like Aleu.

I was wondering about the same thing . . . .
I guess the makers of WoC didn't want to confuse younger fans of the movie? (Stupid, I know . . .) Or else maybe they thought about it, but couldn't find the right voice or way to have the character(s) interact with other new characters . . . .
That is weird . . . . and becoming more common in DVT sequels.
