Hmm... I bet if Wolf O'Donnel makes it into this game that most people here are going to use him, for obvious reasons :P

We're out of the last turn and headed towards the finish line when it comes to waiting for Super Smash Brothers Brawl. With only 11 days until Japan gets the game the Brawl community has become extremely anxious.

Just to remind everyone: The upcoming game has an official release date of January 24, 2008 in Japan and February 10, 2008 in the States. An official release date for the rest of the world is still under wraps.

Brawl's official website, "The Dojo," is still being updated every weekday.

How many times do I have to change this!

According to The Dojo Super Smash Brothers Brawl has been delayed yet again. This confirms the rumors that have been floating around for the last week and a half.
The new dates are: January 31, 2008 for Japan and March 9, 2008 for the Americas.

This is all fine and dandy, more polish to the game... but it better not pull a Zelda and get delayed to two after its original date.

Man, at this point, I don't care how long it takes them; They raised the bar higher than I've ever seen before, although I'm not looking forward to the Nintendog Assist Trophy

Spoiler Alert!!! (for anyone who wants to be surprised when they get the game)

By the way, I was looking for Brawl-related videos when I came across this trailer, which showed a lot of new characters for a split second: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/2996 ... mments_top
I'm just going to assume that the folks at the Dojo plan on keeping some of their bios secret.

I'm with you. More time equals more game. Or at least a more polished game.
But, with all this content that has already been revealed to be in the game and with 30 more days of updates left on the Dojo before released date, I can't help but feel a small part of me that wants the game right away.

That's the beauty about the Assist Trophies. You might grab one to help you out against your enemies, only to get a character that'll also hinder you.

True that the video hosts characters that are new to the Super Smash Bros. series, but the spoiler warning is only for those who haven't been following the updates on the Dojo.
That said, the characters in this video (and the part 1 of the video series it belongs two) all have a full profile on the Dojo.

The first character in this video was revealed by the Dojo on Oct. 25, 2007 with updates on Oct. 26, 2007 and Dec. 6, 2007.
The second was revealed on Sep. 5, 2007 with updates on Nov. 1, 2007 and Nov. 15, 2007.
The third on Aug. 2, '07 with updates on Sep. 4, '07 and Sep. 25, '07.
And the forth on Aug. 13, '07 with updates on Aug. 29, '07 and Sep. 27, '07.

The first part of the video series has characters who were revealed on the Dojo between the dates of May. 25, '07 and Oct. 10, '07.

Yes. And no.

Japan got their release yesterday, January 31st.
The United States still have a month wait before its released on March 9th.
European and Australian areas still don't know their release date.

Also know that at this week's start a bunch of Brawl related information have been leaked and hasn't subsided. Even now there are still leaks coming, though the majority of it had already happened.
In short: If you're worried about being spoiled, be careful.

Actually, she is a hidden character in the game. Hidden being that you have to dig into the game to find her.

But if there's anything for the players to be able to play as her, I'm all for it.

Knowing form Nintendo's past actions, I think being able to download original extra content (characters, stages, etc.) is out of the question. Nintendo will probably have, say, the 'extra characters' preloaded on the CDs but can only be used after receiving a signal from Nintendo through the WiiConnect24 service.

But not all hope is lost on a download service. I mean Guitar Hero III for the Wii will have extra track to download like on the Xbox 360 and other consoles very soon. And not to mention Nintendo releasing the WiiWare section of the Wii Shop channel to original games.
Downloadable content is possible. It just up to Nintendo to actually use it.

As you see down below in my signature, there is less than a week before the game becomes available to US customers.
I have the game pre-ordered and paid for and will be getting it right away at the launch.
Anyone else planning on getting the game?

Also, being that Brawl has online features, make sure you guys use the Net Coliseum to challenge your friends. I know I will.

Yes, I am waiting eagerly for an oportunity to play this game. Although I don't have a Nintendo Wii (yet), I have some friends who do have, and they're all smash fans like me, so I don't think it will be long before I get a chance to go on all-out brawl matches :D

Well... the complete list of playable character has leaked quite some time ago. I won't spoil it for those who don't want, but I will say that, unfortunately, Krystal is nowhere to be seen as a playable character... not even an assist trophy. She's just a regular trophy. :(

Aye. That's the sad truth of it.
She would of been awesome as a playable character because she would be so unique with her staff, staff abilities, and telepathic powers. Not only that but she would also help even the odds when it comes to how many male and female characters are playable.

Oh, well.

Yeah, I was actually looking foward to seeing her as a playabale character in the game, specially after a fake list was leaked (and one that was being pretty accurate, and guessed two characters from the Smash Bros Dojo right) and it included her in the list of playable characters... I agree with you entirely, Krystal had plenty of potential to be an aewsome character. But, as you said...

Oh, well.
