yea, do you have DOSbox-0.63, because that's what im using, and it's confusing, i can't understand the torturial  . I did create the directory and everything for c drive, and blah blah blah, but i can't firgure out how to start WOLF

ok, I'm more then happy to help you out! :D We'll get this all worked out, no worries!

So now you have a folder in your root C: Directory called WOLF and you have moved all of the Wolf game files into that directory correct?

If that is the case then open up DosBox and reference the picture below:

when you're in the C prompt just type wolf and if everything is in the correct place then the game will start.

If that isn't the case let me know.

Open up the zip file in Windows, (You're on XP right?) and go to Edit > Select all then go to Edit > COPY, then open up your Wolf directory and go to Edit > Paste and the contents of the zip file should be copied over to your hard drive.

heh that just goes to show you that although a game may be old and the graphics sub par on today’s standards, it's not necessarily easier. I still have a difficult time with it myself.

Ok, after reading all of the posts and the tutorial about five times I still can't work out what's wrong with mine...

I've done everything you've said and still the game comes up in a box with a black screen... nothing happens and in the end it closes itself. I can get you a screenshot if it helps you fix my problems... I so want to play this game!

Please help?

does it just pop up as a black screen when you try to open it, and stay black for about 2 seconds, and then close? because that's what was happening to me...if this is what is happening, then the reason is that you have to open wolf inside the DOS program, by making a directory as c: , make a wolf directory, go to my computer (<that's the problem i had, i forgot to add the files  ) and copy the wolf files into your directory named "wolf" , then go into DOS, and put in "wolf....if you close dos box, for me atleast, you have to mount a new c: directoy, but you files will still be in there once you do

I can tell by your post that you're trying to run the game directly from Windows. You have to run the game under DosBox. I can help you with this, where are you so far? Have you downloaded both Wolf, and installed DosBox?
