It was early morning, and Cheyenne had been sitting on the ledge on the den. I had jusr woken up from my slumber, and I had to watch my step because Zasshu, had still been asleep, and I didn't want to wake him. He needed his sleep, he has not slept much since the pack came across us. I figured it had been because of my father's death, and I'm sure he wasn't sleeping to make sure they didn't cause any more deaths of out pack. I understood that, I missed my dad. I'm sure Cheyenne did too. : Aspen thought to her self:

Just a short time later, Zasshu awakens, and after yawning and stretching, he slowly trots toward the entrance of the den, only to bump into Cheyanne and Aspen. Zasshu flattens his ears with a crooked smile, taking one step back.

"My apologies, Cheyanne and Aspen. I did not see you." Zasshu calmly says. "I was just about to go to the small stream just a bit east of the den for a refreshing drink, would you both like to join me?" Zasshu smiles brightly.

Cheyanne watches as Zasshu hops down from the ledge. She waited for her sister to go too. "Are you coming?" Aspen asked. "Yeah, I'll be there. I'm waiting for you to go. Go on." Cheyanne said standing up and walking behind Aspen. Aspen then followed Zasshu to the water.

Once at the shore of the small stream, he turned his head around and smiled sincerely at both Cheyanne and Aspen as they approached. Zasshu shook himself slightly to rid his fur of any dust or dirt, scratched behind his ear, then calmly leaned forward to lap up some water.

WonderfulWolves, I read your comment one of my fanart pics, and yes, you may use one of my drawings, whichever one you want, for the cover of your fanfic. And that gray wolf wasn't anyone specific, just a random member of our pack.

Once at the shore of the small stream, he turned his head around and smiled sincerely at both Cheyanne and Aspen as they approached. Zasshu shook himself slightly to rid his fur of any dust or dirt, scratched behind his ear, then calmly leaned forward to lap up some water.

Aspen leaned over to get a quick drink. Cheyanne stepped and calmly got her drink, then looked at Zasshu with a kind warming face, and the same to Aspen. Cheyanne sighed while looking at Zasshu. But it was more of a cold sigh.

"Zasshu, or um. Aspen, would you be kind as to give us some private time. Alone." Cheyanne said lifting her head. "Thank you. Um, Zasshu, I wanted to say I uh.. Hmm. This is hard. "Cheyanne stuttered. "Zasshu, This is too hard to explain. Ever since I was a pup. I uh, I liked you. I mean I really, really liked you. Its gotten worse over years, and now, its taken me down. (I'm not really like this, its my RolePlay only) I'm sorry if you think I'm a bad person know for likening the Alpha Male, your the only one, besides my dad, who's been there for me." Cheyanne said pulling her paws out of the nice cold water.

(Oh no, it's perfectly fine I totally get it. No worries. )

Zasshu chuckled lightly.

"No Cheyanne, that doesn't make you a bad person at all. As far as I'm concerned, everyone has the right to like whoever they choose." Zasshu smiles softly. "I'll always be there for you, Cheyanne. That's my job." Zasshu nuzzled Cheyanne's cheek. "Honestly, I'm flattered."

Zasshu calmly sat beside her, his eyes fixated on the clear blue sky above.

"And as you know... my mate, Kiime, died a few months ago from illness" Zasshu flattens his ears and sighs. "I do miss her, however I know I need to let go and move on. I have few helper female alphas, however I never got around to choosing one as my new mate."

Zasshu's ears perk up as he realizes something, then looks at Cheyanne and gives her a shy, warm smile.

"You are... one of my helper alpha females, are you not?" Zasshu asks quietly.

Cheyanne Looked at Zasshu with a smile then nodded.

"Yes. I don't know it you know, but, my father was to choose either between me and Aspen to either be Beta or Helper Alphas. It was hard for him at first, but when he saw Aspen begin playful but also pretend hunting while we were pups.

He then chose. I would be the Helper and my sister would be Beta. I'm sure he confronted you, but I'm not entirely sure." Cheyanne said looking down at her feet.

"Yes, your father did confront me." Zasshu nods. "And if you really want to know... your father actually recommended you as a possible official Alpha Female, for when the time came for me to decide who I want to be... well, you know. The new Alpha Female, as well as my new mate. I am not certain if he ever told you about this, but... I honestly am attracted to you as well. You're brave, you're strong, you're compassionate and care for others, and very intelligent. That's what makes you unique, and what makes you stand out among every other helper alpha female. And I really admire how good you are at watching after my and Kiime's two pups. It warms my heart when I see that."

Zasshu turns to Cheyanne, a shy blush just barely noticeable on his cheeks.

"You know, Cheyanne... I would not mind claiming you. I think you would make an excellent Alpha Female, and an excellent mate. But..." Zasshu turns away shyly, and a tad bit nervously. "Please, don't feel pressured by me. That choice is entirely up to you."

Cheyanne nodded. " Good. I didn't know if he did or not. And I don't feel pressured. I'd love to be your mate,I just don't know how this will affect my sister." Cheyanne said looking worried but sort of happy at the same time.

"Well, Aspen IS your sister after all."

Zasshu smiles and gives Cheyanne an encouraging nudge on the cheek.

"You should just be honest with her, and as close as the both of you are, I'm sure she will understand."

"Yes. I'll go tell her now." Cheyanne said walking away wagging her tail close to the ground.

"Hi, Cheyanne. "Aspen said standing up. "Hi."Cheyanne followed. "Aspen, I need to tell you something." Cheyanne began to keep going but Aspen stopped her.
"You and Zasshu will become mates, right?" Aspen said smiling. Cheyanne stood there with her mouth barely open."Um, yes. I think so. How did you know? "Cheyanne said sitting down. "I listen, sort of. I know you told me to go but yah... " Aspen completed. "Yes, I was going to ask you how you fee-" Cheyanne never finished.

"Its ok with me, I want you to be happy. Err, Cheyanne, what's wrong?" Aspen said looking toward the unknown pack. Cheyanne bolted out to Zasshu. "Zasshu!" Cheyanne yelled still running and stopping in the stream.
'The pack is coming closer. And it looks bigger then it did when we first saw it come, I mean like lots more wolves. "Cheyanne said pacing pack and forth..."Zasshu, this plan will still work, right? "Aspen said running over.

Zasshu's fur stuck out as he growled lowly. He looked at Cheyanne seriously.

"Yes Cheyanne, it will work. And now that you're my mate, you must trust me. Just stick to the plan, I will take the Alpha Male of the rivals, and now that you're Alpha Female, you'll take out their Alpha Female. Our betas will go for their betas, and our omegas will deal with their omegas."

Zasshu swiftly slipped past her, slowly picking up the pace.

"Cheyanne, we must hurry! Remember, this is for our land, and for Jack! Get your sister and both of you follow me! We will go back to the den and assemble the pack immediately!" Zasshu instructed determinedly.

My sister is the one who asked if the plan would still work, lol, Its ok)

Cheyanne nodded, and proceeded to follow. Aspen continued along, then she fell. Zasshu and Cheyanne, As well as Aspen, didn't see the raging pack's alpha male pounce Aspen, let alone, ripping flesh and trying to kill.

His then announced his name. My name, is Bear, Son of Nava, and you and your pack have crossed into our territory. Zasshu, Aspen, and Cheyanne looked at him as if he where stupid, this was not their territory. It was Zasshu's and his packs.

Zasshu growled loudly, stepping in front of Cheyanne protectively.

"I am Zasshu, son of the Alphas of the woodlands pack, now Alpha Male of the mountainlands pack! And this is OUR land, Bear!" Zasshu snarled at him. "This has been our territory for many summers and winters, since long before you even arrived here! YOU are the one invading OUR territory!"

Zasshu bared his teeth and growled menacingly at Bear, anger taking over.

"And don't you DARE lay a single PAW on MY PACK MEMBERS!" Zasshu bolted forward and tackled Bear fiercely and off of Aspen, and Aspen quickly ran over to her sister, frightened and shaking.

"Cheyanne, Aspen! HURRY! Go assemble the pack and return to help fight of these rogues at ONCE! I'll hold Bear off! Now go, and HURRY!" Zasshu shouted while struggling with Bear, just as Bear slashed Zasshu across the face with his massive claws, then headbutted Zasshu straight into a tree, making Zasshu let out a yelp as Bear rushed in for a second attack.
