While she was rubbing her face, he had leaned in close to her, they where only inches apart at that point. It watched quietly his ears perking at her when she removed her hands. Then there was another distant gunshot that made him jerk back and look toward the woods, starting to growl. It gave one more look over its shoulder at Vanessa, then at the car, as if debating going and smashing the thing to bits. He must've decided against it because he rose to all fours and turned to gallop off, back into the night's woods.

Vanessa jumped at the distant sound, not recognizing it immediately as a gunshot but scared enough to scramble to her feet anyways. As the creature loped away, Nessa ran across the grass again, jumping back inside her car to try the engine one more time. Despite all her desperate hoping, the engine remained quiet no matter how many time she turned the key.

It fell quiet in the feild after a few more gunshots. It remained deathly silent for atleast five to ten more minutes. Another figured then appeared, nearly out of no where it walked to the drivers window and knocked suddenly.
Standing there at the window, smiling in his usual sideways way, was Griffin. He looked a little rough, his hair messily stuck out from under his hat, and his face was smudged a little with dirt, there where also a few tiny scratches on his cheeks and the bridge of his nose.

Vanessa had laid her forehead against the steering wheel, weighing all her option, which really weren't that many. She jumped when there was a knock at her door, staring out the window with a similar expression that she had earlier. She sighed in relief when she saw it was Griffin, not even wanting to think about how strange it was that he was here. Knowing him, he probably had a GPS tracker on her or something. She gently rolled down the window and said, "Normally seeing you would ruin my night, but I'm kind of glad you're here right now. I need a jump for my car." She looked passed him towards the road, but the only car she could see was the one that had almost hit her earlier. "You did drive here, right?"

"Um, kinda. My car's at a closed down Gas Station not far from here." He replied, leaning down so he could look at her. "What're you doing here? Dontcha know this is where the thugs and drugdealers come to argue and fight?" He asked sarcastically, with another grin.

Vanessa looked away from Griffin, remembering again why she was out in an abandoned park in the first place. She hated feeling vulnerable and weak, so there was no way she could admit to anyone, especially Griffin, that she had come out here because she didn't feel at home with either of her families. "Nothing else to do on a Thursday night," she muttered, avoiding the question. "Could you just get you're car, so I can get out of here? It's been a long night."

He looked at her thoughtfully. He knew she didn't know it, and it was hard to tell know, but he'd seen her tearstained cheeks more than once that night. He then grinned mischeviously and hatched an impish little plan as he turned away from her and the car. "Sure, sure. I'll just go get my car, and leave you here all alone. Out in the open. In full veiw of the drug dealers, and gang rapeists... And of course the "who-knows-what"s in the forest." He added the last part with a smile as he started to stroll away, hoping she would chicken out and come with him.

Vanessa rolled her eyes at Griffin's attempt to scare her until he mentioned the 'who-knows-what's. She had already dealt with enough mind-blowing weirdness for one night. As much as getting out of her car again was the last thing she wanted to do, she finally stepped out and called after Griffin, "I suppose I should come with you in case all those nasty things decide to come after you. Wouldn't want your pretty little face to get smashed into the side-walk without being a witness." She jogged a bit to catch up with him and crossed her arms tightly over her chest, trying not to show her discomfort.

He smiled and started humming as they walked, clearly enjoying Nessa's company. He swayed softly as he walked then he looked over at her and grinned. "Oh come on Vanessa, lossen up!" He smiled, he slowed down and stepped up behind her, gently grabbing her arms and gently trying to pry them unfolded. "You know you enjoy being here with big strong ME." He grinned.

"Oh, get off me, Griffin," Vanessa said, though her voice was less threatening than it could have been. She merely shrugged him off and took a few steps away from him. "I am not in the mood to deal with you tonight."

"Then why'd you ask me for help? You could've waited for a friendly stranger to wander by. Why'd you come with me? You could've hunkered down in your locked car and waited for me.." He grinned broadly before hopping up to stand right in her path, like a sudden wall in her way. "Why don't you just admit it? Why don't you admit that you looooovvvveeee me?" He grinned broadly, leaning down so they where face to face.

Vanessa stepped back from him when she nearly ran into Griffin. "Seriously, stop," she said in a much more defensive voice than last time, refusing to look him straight in the eye. "Look the only reason I came out here is because..." She sighed, not knowing how to explain to him that she had either been loosing her mind or having a conversation with a strange humanoid wolf. "Look, you wouldn't believe me if I told you, but I've just had enough for one night and just want to go...go..." She couldn't finish her sentence, wanting to say home but knowing that even after her car was working again that she would most likely spend the night in her car somewhere in town. Probably in a park-and-ride. She was too proud to return to either of her parents' houses now.

Griffin again looked at her thoughtfully. He glanced down at his feet and then looked up at her again. He could tell there was something on her mind. Something painful that she wasn't wanting to share, he started walking again, next to her. "I know it's late, but, my Mom is probablly still up... She likes to cook food up until late into the night. You could.. Stop by for a snack after we get your car started... before you "go"... I mean, she likes to feed strays." He had to add the last part teasingly, or it would sound like he was going soft on her.

Vanessa was happy to start walking again, but she cringed when Griffin asked her to come to his house after they figured this whole situation out. She knew it was mostly likely just his way of asking her out on a data, again, but she still felt a little offended it by. It was irrational of her for her to get upset when he was just trying to help her, but she couldn't bring herself to admit that she needed help, let alone accept it. "I'm not helpless nor a stray. I'll be fine on my own," she replied curtly.

"Oh will you, Miss. I Made My Car Run Dead?" He asked with a mischevious grin. "You know the point of a date is being away from your parents? If the reason you don't wanna come get some of the best food you've ever tasted is because you think its a date, you best come up with a better excuse, because my Mom will be there with us? He grinned and looked at her from the corner of his eyes.
