~Ryan~
As the screaming of an alarm clock yanked Ryan out of his dreams, he felt this heavy pressure on his back and legs. "Diesel, Bear, get off me." He said, turning over onto his side. Diesel and Bear, his two huge rotties just licked him, waiting for him to get up out of bed. When five minutes went by, Diesel and Bear jumped off the bed and tried to get their master up. Gripping one end of the blanket, Diesel and Bear got into a strong tug-of-war with Ryan, them winning of course.

"Okay, okay! I'll get up geez." He said, throwing his legs over one end of the bed and sitting up. His shoulder ached some from hard work yesterday but he didn't mind it. Ryan dug into a dresser and pulled out a pair of faded jeans, socks, and a simple t-shirt. Diesel and Bear barked, running circles in front of him. "I'm up now. C'mon lets get outside and get to the horses." He said, exciting the dogs even more. As Ryan and his dogs made their way outside, Ryan noticed some had already gotten a head start. Oh well.

Walking up to the barn, Ryan brushed Titanic off really good and then tacked him up in western tack. Pulling himself onto Titanic, Ryan was helped by Titanic himself. The horse knew he'd been hurt and could feel some of his stress and pain. Animals knew. Ryan kicked the sides of Titanic, only giving him that name because of his massive size compared to the other barrel racing horses. Now, Titanic wasn't the biggest horse in the world but he was bigger than all his opponents in the barrel racing category.

Diesel and Bear jogged to keep up with Titanic, only to be snorted at by the big gelding. The two rotties bolted, barking and playing as usual. Ryan kicked Titanic's sides once more, "C'mon boy. Let's just ride around a bit before we go train." He said, stroking the beautiful horse's neck. He truly loved Titanic, with all his heart. Titanic was like the son he never had. Noticing Blaine out of the corner of his eye.

~Felicity~
She was driven to the center in England, taking deep breaths to get ready for her arrival at a new place. Her mother and father rode along with her. Making sure she arrived safely. The second driver was the one who was carrying Scout. Felicity was nervous. What would everyone think of her? When the car came to a stop she got out, the caddie getting her bags for her. Felicity looked around and smiled. Since her parents only understood German she could only speak in German around them, smiling she said Sehr schön, wie ich es bisher hier. It meant, 'Very Nice, I like it here so far. (I'll only talk in German when she's speaking to her parents, which won't be often and it will always have a translation)

Her golden hair flowed gently past her bare shoulders and halfway down her back. Her mother constantly stroking her hair straight, only to have the thicker strands curl around her fingers. "Mutter(mother)." She moaned with a smile. Her mother took a second to pause and look at her, such a beautiful young lady she had grown into. She noticed a few people and waved politely, waiting for someone to come over and greet her, or maybe just give her a bit of direction.

She was slightly surprised by how many pretty horses were actually there, feeling as though she needed to have her impatient horse out as well. Felicity smiled bigger, she could hear Scout's low whinnies and when he pawed at the ground. She looked at the caddie and told him in german, Lassen Sie Scout aus seinem trailer bitte und bringt ihn zu mir. Danke. Which meant, 'Let Scout out of his trailer please and bring him to me. Thank you.' The caddie nodded and let Scout of his trailer, bringing him to Felicity. The two were inseparable.

Her blonde hair gently getting carried in strands by the cool breeze that swept across her. She was wearing a white blouse with chalky white pearl earrings shaped into hearts. She wore a silk skirt, lined in beautiful lace around the trim. She wore 6 inch heals, showing she could be fancy just like everyone else. Her hair draped over her shoulders slightly and her eyes were almost a baby blue color. Scout nuzzling her shoulder.

Erika looked at Jaylin, shaking her head. "I-I have to go back to the house, Jaylin," she said, tears streaming down her rosy cheeks. Already some of her mascara was dripping down her face. Without waiting for Jaylin to answer, she got off Kamia, as not to startle the horse, turned and fled for her ranch.

She kept running, faster and faster as her mind raced with thoughts of her mom. The branches tore at her new riding jeans that she had bought yesterday, but she didn't care. She needed to get to her mom. She couldn't control herself any longer. Soon she was back at the ranch.

~Ryan~
As he and Titanic practiced in the arena he noticed Erika, her head down, tears streaming.. He wondered what ever could be wrong with the younger female. Titanic felt it getting warmer and warmer under the western tack and he began to whinny, pawing at the ground. He was anxious to get back in the shade and he wanted Ryan to hurry up and finish. Soon, Ryan's dogs had noticed Erika too. They lay in the cool grass under the shade, watching her and feeling her levels of sadness and stress.

First Diesel fled after her, followed by Bear. The two dogs ran quietly, trying to catch up with her. Which of course they did. Diesel first began to try and lick her hand while Bear tried to paw her. The two dogs wanted nothing more to do than to just comfort the distressed humans. Bear and Diesel were good at that, especially with Ryan. The man that had raised them from puppy hood all the way to now. Soon though, Titanic and Ryan were back to their strenuous work routine. Weaving through those tricky barrels without knocking any over.

Titanic kept going, faster and faster with each practice until he beat his own record of a minute and 14 seconds. He came to a minute and 10 seconds. Ryan was happy about it, noticing the difference with very much joy and affection towards his horse. Ryan stroked the big fella and dismounted him, he decided now that he would go and see if Erika was okay. He jogged after her, his dogs not leaving the girl's sides. Such loyal and loving pets.

When the dogs first licked Erika's hand, she gave a little cry and pulled her hand, abruptly back. But she petted both the dog's heads, as she realized who they were. Erika loved dogs, but had never been able to have one. Her parent's were allergic.

She soon noticed a young man jogging up to her. Ah, she thought. That must be Ryan. She had forgotten that he had called her today. "Hello, Ryan," Erika said to him, wiping away her tears, even though they kept coming. "How's your training coming along?"

Erika looked closely at his eyes. There was something familiar about them... but she couldn't figure it out. She pushed the thought out of her mind. Maybe it would come back to her.

~Ryan~
Diesel and Bear panted happily as her gentle hand stroked their hands. They seemed to be smiling. The two dogs waited for more love and affection from the lady as their owner finally caught up. Ryan was almost out of breath but he was fine, taking a few silent gulps of air before speaking with a very sweet but concerned voice. He looked into her eyes, they were red. He knew she had been crying. Ryan took his hand and moved his hair from his eyes.

"The training is coming along fine madam, thank you." He answered, a small smile trying to work onto his face. But he pushed it aside, waiting to see if she was okay before he smiled. "Are you okay?" He asked, not wanting to pry into her business but he really wanted to know if there was anything he could possibly do to help the poor woman. He looked her over, his green eyes catching her blue ones mid way. He was soon lost. Did he know this woman before?

When she realized she was staring at him, she looked down at the dogs. "Oh, um..." she hesitated. Should she really tell Ryan? She looked into his eyes, and saw her own concern reflected. But if she told him, she might burst out crying again. Well, she would have to tell him sooner or later.

"Well, m-my mother i-is very ill!" she stammered, tears streaming down her face. "They said she may be dying." Without realizing, she jumped into Ryan's arms, wanting something to comfort her.

~Ryan~
He watched her stammer and get choked up before the tears finally began to roll again. He gasped inward slightly, slipping his arms around the smaller. He couldn't help but hold her, after his mother too had died. He knew the feeling all too well. Grief, sadness and the feeling of being alone had always followed him the first year after she had died. But he did know that every scar would heal and fade, no matter how deep the wound. Diesel and Bear did nothing more to comfort her as they took off, looking for something else to do.

They soon found Titanic grazing and ran after him, jumping playfully at the big horse. Titanic didn't play back, he snorted and pinned his ears flat. Charging the dogs every now and then when they got too close. Ryan ignored all the commotion and kept hugging her, no, not hugging her... Holding her. He knew that in times of sadness, there was a difference between holding and hugging. It made everything feel much better and he knew that.

Suddenly realizing that she was in his arms, she suddenly pulled back. "Oh, I'm sorry," she said, blushing. "I-I didn't mean..." She broke off. Slowly, she slid back into his arms. It somehow felt good. Suddenly, she knew who Ryan reminded her of. Her brother!

~Ryan~
Part of him didn't want to let her go, so he simply stood there still for a moment. "It's fine." He said quietly as she slipped back into his arms. He was glad again that he could get to hold her once more. Meanwhile Titanic and the dogs were still out roaming around in the pasture, the dogs soon becoming defensive and growling at something and Titanic rearing in rebellion. Ryan did take notice in this strange behavior and glanced at them. He wondered what on Earth could be bothering those animals that bad to have them react like that. Ryan paused, still holding Erika though.

"Is everything OK?" Erika asked. She suddenly wanted to be there, in Ryan's arms forever. She squeezed a little tighter. Even though she only met Ryan once, he reminded her of her brother and he was the only source of comfort she had.

~Ryan~
He turned his neck a bit farther to see what was going on. "I don't know." He admitted finally before looking at the ground. He couldn't see anything through the grass. "I'll go check." He said before letting Erika go and jogging over. The hair on the dog's backs stood on end as they snarled viciously at the grass. Titanic was stamping his hooves around the area, whinnying angrily. "What's wrong boys?" He asked before slipping inside. He was fearless. He looked in the grass to find a baby fox laying there meowing helplessly. Ryan quickly scooped him up and walked quickly back to Erika. "Looks like the boys were a bit spooked by the new creature." He said before stroking the red fur.

Erika let out a tiny gasp. "Aw," she said. "A baby fox!" She pet the fox's long red hair. "What could have happened to his mother?" Her mind wondered back to her mother; she pushed it away.

~Ryan~
He smiled as the baby began to try and nurse on his fingers. "Aw, poor little guy." He said, stroking the tiny kit. "He's not even weaned yet." He said, feeling a strong sense of wanting to help this baby. "Mind helping me nurse him?" Ryan asked, his eyes drifting up to Erika. He smiled a bit bigger and looked back down at the kit, who was gazing up with big brown eyes.

"Of course I don't mind," Erika said. She loved helping animals in need. Besides, this baby lost it's mother, it deserved their help. "Should I run in and get a baby bottle with milk?"

~Ryan~
He nodded with an even bigger smile than before. "Sure, and I'll go set up a nice place in my room for him. Meet me in there?" He said with a grin before beginning to walk towards the house. He knew that he'd have to sneak the cute little kit past the owner and that he would have to care for him for hours at a time. Ryan put the small kit up his shirt and snuck into the door, sneaking past everyone inside. He smiled and made it to his room, putting the kit on his bed.
