Most of the horses had been loaded in the trailer now, only a few were left in the barn, running around and trying to get out. Smiling, I went to my truck and got and apple and one of Ace's black, worn out halters. I went and stood beside Kit. "Do you trust me to get out of there?" I asked, clutching the halter. The mare was for sure younger, she had lots of energy. You could see her leg muscles bulging as she ran and threw herself at the fence.

Kit paused a moment after loading Phantom into the trailer last. He had 3 in his trailer now. He looked over at Katelyn and paused for anothe moment, looking at her. "You can try, and if you can't handle her, Mikey will have to step in. I'll be back." He said, throwing one leg over the arena and climbing over. He needed to get the correct count on the horses and he needed to auctioneer to tell him the amount he had won.

Smiling, I stepped into the arena, watching as my chestnut mare stopped and stared at me. I met her gaze, a determind look in my eyes. The rest of the herd stood behind her. They weren't near as wild as the mare. Slowly, I took a few steps forward and stuck out my hand which held an apple. Cammila seemed calm now, as she walked towards me. I relaxed, and closed my eyes. This horse would injur me if I made any sudden movments, so I tried to appear as a harmless being.

Rachel ~
Rachel stood up out of bed, yawning. It was her first day working at a ranch. When she heard she could work there as a cattle roper she almost at once volunteered. She brought her two horses Butterskotch and Starlight there, and she couldn't help but feel butterflies in her stomach. "It's gonna be a new day," Rachel said to herself. She got dressed in a brown t-shirt, brown pants, black boots, and a nice pink riding hat. She than put her hair up in a bun, brushed her teeth, and loaded her trailer. Today was the day she was bringing her two horses, Starlight and Butterskotch. Starlight was a Arabian Stallion who was a spirited 9 year old good boy. Butterskotch was all jittery and excited. She couldn't wait to go wherever she was supposed to go. When she got them loaded, she set off to head for the ranch.

Phantom snorted and bucked at the trailer. He was scared but most of all, totally freaked out. The other horses were snorting and whinnying too. Their leader had been captured. Easily as a matter of fact. Kit met the guy finally, "How many?" He asked. Mentally counting the number of horses he had saw. The guy went down a list, "20." Kit counted mentally and nodded, "Okay. I'll be back to get the remaining 10." He said and looked around.

Rachel arrived at the ranch on time, and unloaded her horses out, one at a time. She led the each to their stalls, where they would be staying, and looked around for the owner. Rachel grabbed her piece for paper and looked at the name written on it: Kit Anthony Jones. She looked around and around, but couldn't find anybody. Maybe he wasn't here? Oh, well. She would just wait for him to come back.

Kit approved and then looked around. Kit hopped in his truck and drove off the the ranch. It took a while to get there because he didn't want to bump the horses around to much. When he did arive, he noticed the new girl. He parked next to the barn and hopped out, "Hi. I'm Kit." He said and shook her hand. Moving into the barn.

"Hi, I'm Rachel," she said, shaking his hand. "Rachel Carter, that is. And this is the ranch." She looked around in awe. It was a big one, and she was sure her horses were going to love it. "Do you want me to show you my horses?"

Kit smiled and shrugged his shoulders, "Sure." He said and followed her. In the barn, Zeus was whinning and nickering. Knowing the sound of his master's voice. He whinnied out one final time, a very loud and excited whinny. Pawing the barn flooring.

Rachel pointed at Zeus. "Is that your horse?" she asked, as she led the way to her horses. As he was going to answer, she stopped in front of Butterskotch's stall.

Kit nodded, "Yes." He said and stroked the big horse. He loved Zeus a lot and he really needed to get the wild horses out of the stall before they got too hot in there. It was about 80 degrees outside but it heated quicker with them snorted and breathing like they couldn't catch their breaths. Kit scratched the back of his neck.

Rachel introduced her horses. "This here is Butterskotch," she told him. "She can be a little feisty. But, overall she is a sweet girl." She patted her horse, before heading to the next. "And this is Starlight." Starlight winnied, as if feeling proud. "So, should we take them out to pasture?"
