Magic got home and went to work, she went out into the field that the cows were going to go first and fixed the fence, taking down the barbed wire and putting in the classic white fence. She was strong, despite her tiny size and she finished. She did this with the other fields and was done by about 3 o clock, because she had gotten home early from work. She got in the tractor, planting and then arrogated. She finished that, then called the man with the cattle, she had them delivered and they filled the giant field, spreading out and exploring. She smiled, then with a cowboy hat and boots, hopped in her little car, a trailer on the back and went to look for horses.

He drove home, Buck in the back seat. Boss is not gonna like this. He mummbled under his breath. Boss lived up to her name because everything she didn't like, she changed. John pulled into the driveway and smiled. He walked into the house, Buck at his heels. John called Boss' name and she came to him. Buck barked and lunged at her. Boss raised her back up high, puffed out her fur, and hissed. Scratching Buck's muzzle, leaving a cut. John shook his head with a grin and Buck laid down with a dumb look on his face.

Magic saw a sign on the side of the rode, "Horse rescue center." it said, she pulled in, pulling back her hair and then got out. She shook a man's hand and he led her into the stable. She was planning on starting a riding school, part time, and she needed some different level horses. She chose three ten year olds, who were for beginners, five six year olds for the middle student, six three year olds for more advanced students, and then looked for herself. She wanted a big horse that she could ride both english and western, she walked by a horse, and paused. He was beautiful. The man said he had potential, but he wasn't broken. She nodded and paid for him, the horses were loaded and she drove home, putting them all in their new stalls. She posted several more job adds for people, then went to her new horse.

He got a call about a murder case in their little neighbor hood. Of over 3 women. He knew the press would be snooping around and so he was instructed not to say anything. He hurried to get to the murder scene were forensics were putting down markers and things of the potential evidence.

Just as Magic was going to get started with her new horse, her phone rang "Magic, you need to get to the crime scene. This'll make a great article." it was her boss. She said okay and got in her car, driving to the site and getting out her note pad. She walked over, knowing that she would be nothing but a nuisance to the cops, she felt bad, but it was her job. "Excuse me." she said to the nearest cop, who had his back turned.

He turned and snaked his arm around her waist. Pulling her back. This is offical police business ma'am I'm going to have to ask you to leave the premassis. He said nicely but in a stern way. Buck was sniffing around with the other dogs.

Magic struggled before realizing it was John, he had a stern and what looked like disappointed look on his face. "I just need a few notes so my boss will get off my case. That's all, I write for New York Times. I'm not the writer that twists everything, I swear. I just need to know what happened to the women, their names, and the case name." she said, walking to the door frame.

He acted like he was escorting her to her car but as soon as they got to her car he stood next to her and whispered. This is the information you'll need: Their names are Ebony Baxter, Jaycee Higgons, Kayla Ryder. They were killed between a 48 hour time span and they all three had been sexually assulted. Kayla has a young daughter.

Magic thanked him in a whisper, acted all disappointed and got in her car, she scribbled the info on the pad and drove home, typing up the story and sending it to her boss, he was impressed and said he'd publish it in the next day's paper. She got outside again, returning to her new horse.

He was talked to by his boss and he got fired. He didn't care because he was going to be a construction worker anyway. He smiled some as he worked for the old man across the street for a few hours before giving back Buck and looking for a new job as a construction worker.

Magic lunged her horse, he was a big grey. She thought about names, but didn't decide anything. She had him wokring smoothly and then rewarded him, then returned him to his stall, she decided that she wanted to have a cattle barn build along with some other stuff, she advertised that and then walked into her house.

He talked to the old man after he was done and finally went home. A total of 4 hours. John picked up the newspaper and found a job as an architech. He smiled and called about the job. He told them he was muscular, no steroid use, clean history, never been arrested, and had a greay work ethic. They hired him.

Magic sat at home and watched a movie, she enjoyed it, she then went into her room and wrote another chapter to the newest book she was writing, she got carried away and wrote another, then she edited it and sent it to her editor to read. She stood and walked back into the living room, Belle at her heals.

John ~
He was told he could start the next day and that he would be working just outside the news letter building thing. He thought of Magic instantly and looked at Boss. C'mere Boss. He said and picked her up. She snuggled up against him, purring.

It was getting dark, so Magic took Belle out to go potty, then took her back inside. She sat on the couch and read, then thought about John and how nice he had been to her. She hoped she hadn't gotten him fired. She sighed and got her night things on, then went out onto the porch and looked at the stars, laying in her hammock.
