"Sure.'' Jaali said then seperated from his love then began walking silently towards a herd of antelope. He nodded at Lesedi to tell her to wait for his signal.

Lesedi nodded and crouched down in the grass. Lucky for her, the sun was just rising and the rays made her golden-brown fur look exactly like the grass.

Jaali then leaped and ran for the herd which caused them to start running in different directions. Jaali roared and ran for the weakest one and made sure it ran towards Lesedi so she could kill it along with him.

Lesedi saw Jaali chasing the youngest herd member towards her. She lifted her haunches and got ready to pounce. Just as the calf passed her, she jumped up and killed it with a swift bite on the neck.

"Thanks." Lesedi smiled. She picked the newly killed prey with its neck. "I had lots of practice."

"I think this is sufficient till the hunting patrols go out to hunt." Lesedi said, thinking for a while before answering.

Jaali's eyes widen as Lesedi nuzzled him he soon got use to it and nuzzled her back. "I.. love you more than anything in the world.'' He purred.

When the two got back, lesedi first went to the nursing lionesses and gave the antelope to them. She knew that everyday the very first catch would go to the mothers as the pride needed them to stay healthy. The next share would go to the elders. They never woke up long after the mothers finished eating, so there was enough time for the hunting patrols to go out.
