Haley faced the group, knowing that someone would have to act like a leader around here and since they were on her property, it might as well be her. Answering Jedi's question, which was probably on everyone's minds, Haley hesistated in a moment of quick thinking before saying, "Jedi, James, Rufus, and Bailey can come with me into this tunnel." She nodded to the giant hole in the wall behind her. "Cale, Misty, Scotty, and Rose, you can go down that one." She gestured to the left tunnel. Her desision for these groups were quite simple. She didn't want to be in close proximity with Rose but also wanted her away from James. Someone needed to be able to control James, which was either Scotty or Jedi. Since Rose and Scotty seemed to be bonding, she decided to keep the two brother's together. Although it may not be the best idea, she decided to keep Cale and Misty together, praying they wouldn't fight or bicker at all being together. As for Bailey and Rufus, it was expected of her to keep the best friends together. "We meet back here in one hour," Haley finished off. "If a group isn't back, assume something is wrong." With that grave note, Haley turned to the tunnel behind her, but without a flashlight was blinded. She motioned for someone to go ahead of her so she would have some light to work off of.

Rose giggled quietly at Scotty's comment, smiling up at him but refusing his offered hand by picking herself up. She gave him an apologetic look and a shrug, but turned to her attention to Haley as she sorted them into two groups. Although hidden behind a smooth face, Rose was relieved not to be in the same group as James. She looked back at Scotty and said, "I guess we better get going. I would really like to find a way out of this place as soon as possible." She waved to Jedi and muttered to him, "Good luck," as she passed him. She went into the tunnel, shining her flashlight down it. From where she was, no ending could be seen, but she knew that it would have to go somewhere.

Cale couldn't stop the wide grin when Haley put him and Misty in a group. Trying not to push his luck though, he saved his comments for himself. Instead, he headed over to the tunnel where Rose stood and peered into himself. Without hesitation, he started into it, looking back after a few steps. "We should be good now, so long as no one else decides to sneeze." He gave a pointed glare to James, but he was too far away from James for the boy to hear the comment.

"Oh goodie goodie, my best friend gets to leave with my EX and I get to go with my little bro!" Jame said loud enough for Haley to hear.

Scotty rolled his eyes and slowly followed Rose: "Scotty!" James voice made him pause and turn.

"...Be careful..." he mumbled.

Scotty smirked and hurried on after Rose.

"Cmon Jed!" James huffed leading the way down their tunnel.

Jedi smiled at Rose's luck to him. "Same to you." Jedi walked over to the tunnel he was going to enter and stood next to Haley. He tried ignoring his brothers comment and acted like he didn't hear it. He looked at Haley and tried to break some tension. "I have a good feeling about our tunnel." he noted with a smile. He really wasn't sure though. Anything could happen now.

Rose nodded at Misty, agreeing with her comment. "That's the way I see it," she said, starting into the tunnel without a look behind her, missing James's comment. She paused when she heard Scotty hurry back to her before walking again. She kept a hand on the wall, her flashlight not bringing much light in this pitch blackness and she wanted to be ready to catch herself if she tripped on an unseen stone. "I really hope there's an exit nearby," she muttered as she continued to stare ahead of her for any sign of light.

Cale headed into the tunnel behind Rose and Scotty, his one hand in his pocket and the other lazily holding his flashlight. He glanced at Misty, trying to seem as if he wasn't bothered by walking so near her in the cramped space of the thin tunnel. He tried to think of something clever or funny to say, but nothing came to mind at the moment. Instead, he started a dull whistle that wasn't any real tune but comforted him all the same.



"Thanks," Haley mumbled to Bailey as she handed over her flashlight. She gave Jedi a weak smile. "I hope you're right," she said, wishing there was an exit just around the corner, but she knew the odds of that weren't exactly in their favor. After all, they had gotton themselves shut in here in the first place which seemed to mean the fates were against them today. She sighed as she rounded a bend and only found more tunnel to walk through. "This might take awhile," she admitted as it looked like the tunnel might just go one forever.

Scotty was quiet, for the most part, as he and the group moved silently along. He walked absentmindedly next to Rose, simply because that's where his feet paced themselves. He wasn't paying much attention. That is until he felt his arm brush against Rose's. He blinked and realized this part of the tunnel was extremely narrow. He and Rose where practically rubbing shoulders. He felt embarrassment for the first time in awhile. He didn't mean to be so close to her, but the narrow path made it impossible to change that. So he tried to ignore the fact, and hope the path would widen soon.

Jedi took out his cellphone on the way down the first tunnel. He turned the flash on knowing it had much better lighting than the flashlights. It really brightened up the cave. After the first bend in the cave Jedi could see the disappointment in Haley's face. "It's only the first turn. I'm sure something will open up." he said reassuring her. They walked a little further and still no luck.

Rose glanced at Scotty out of the corner of her eyes as their arms brushed, which didn't really bother her as much as spiked a kind of feeling in her heart she hadn't felt for quite a while. It was the type of emotion she had felt when she first met James. The one where Rose felt safe and hopeful, even in this dire situation. Then, the narrow tunnel opened up into another space not quite as wide as the other but still more roomy than the tunnel. Rose stopped in the center of the area, looking between the three different paths that lead in all different directions. "Okay,I saw we keep heading straight, just so we don't get turned around," she suggested as she turned around to face the others.

Cale immediately stopped his whistling when Misty spoke, his face breaking into a smile as she showed curiousity in his mindless tune. He shrugged and said, "It depends on what you count as a real song. It's got a melody and is music. As far as I know, that's what a song is." He smiled wickedly down at her, playing the dumb card to tease her. "Oh, wait," he exclaimed dramatically as if he had just caught her meaning. "You meant does a profesional singer sing this song, didn't you? Well, in that case, no." He chuckled at his own sarcasm as they exited the small tunnel.



Haley nodded to Jedi. "Yeah, I guess thats true," she admitted, though she didn't really feel that way. At the moment, she was feeling rather hopeless. She smiled at Bailey and Rufus, glad for their positive attitudes. It brightened up her mood a little. "Thanks, that really helps," she said to Jedi in repsonse to his phones much brighter light. Being able to see better, Haley could tell that the tunnel went of for quite a while. Whether that was a good thing or a bad thing, she couldn't really be sure.

"Oh, your welcome." Jedi smiled. He wasn't sure what to say anymore. The silence took over and was killing him. He shuffled his feet trying to make some noise but as he looked down he was just making his shoes dirty. The tunnel was now gradually climbing. "Hopefully going up means something good."

When they stopped at the three tunnels and Rose suggested going straight, Scotty nodded. "Yeah that sounds good, getting turned around is the last thing we need." he agreed, trying to again hide his accent. He felt something when he was around Rose to, he hadn't realized he was looking right at her, thoughtfully. He hadn't felt this feeling before, though he had been with girls in the past, what was different about Rose? He blinked and looked to Cale and Misty.

James, stomped through the cave, he just wanted to hear himself, and to annoy Haley. So he listene to his loud booming footsteps.

History: Dev has lived a fairly laid back life. He lives with his caring, loving, doting, angel of a mother, and his older, protective, caring, but jealous older brother. Ever since he can remember it's been the three of them, always getting by with just enough. A perfect life in Dev's eyes. However, there's more to it than he thinks. When Dev was younger, about 10 years old, his father's alcohol addiction finally pushed him over the edge. His father started beating his mother senseless, and Dev, wanting to protect his mom, stepped in. That's when his father hauled in on Dev. He beat him so much for his "disrespect" that Dev was in intensive care in the hospital for six months. His father was put in jail, and Dev came out of the hospital mentally fine, except for the fact that the memory of his father has been erased from his brain completely. His mother doesn't know how, but to Dev, his father was never there. Now rumors spread, and Dev has started to hear some things, but he doesn't know if he should believe it or not. Only one person knows about his father and what he did (besides Dev's mother and brother) and that is his best friend Haley. (is that ok??)
Personality: Calm and level headed, has a "don't give a crap" attitude, isn't much of a talker and has that mysterious feel to him, has a very good way with words and is often caught using sarcasm or snide remarks. Doesn't open up right away, once he knows you and trusts you, his barriers start to come down. Dev just has that cool swagger feel to him, he knows how to stay classy and does in most situations. However, on rare occasions, if Dev loses his temper he explodes, and it's not fun. Something about Dev just attracts others to him, maybe it's his held back personality or piercing eyes, but of course he is oblivious to the unspoken attention he gets. He never changes for anyone, his personality always remains the same.
