Alfred smiled, slipping his arms under Arthur's legs and behind his back. He picked him up and carried te Brit ino his room, laying him on the bed.

Kat observed what Alfred did and felt her heart take a dive in icy water. When she used to fall asleep on his couch he never did that for her. He's always wake her up and tell her to go to the guest bedroom if she wanted to stay. Kat kept her stare dormant though, her eyes blank.

"I Want him to get a good impression you know? Not think I'm just gonna..leave him.somewhere?" Alfred explained with a smile. Arthur stirred, before flicking open his eyes.
"Hmm..? Oh da** I'm sorry, must've fallen asleep..Ahh.. 8i need to change." te Briton mumbled sleepily.

"Yeah...Good impression...I dunno, I just thougt he made you...you know...happy." Kat said, that's all she really wanted though, Alfred's happiness. It didn't matter if she stayed forever lonely, as long as Alfred was happy with the person he was with. She looked at Arthur slowly andlet herself smile.
"You should stay asleep, you're jetlagged and stuff." Kat said easily. She looked towards the door. "I think i'll head 'home', if you could even call it that. Alfred, give me a ride home?" Kat asked.

Arthur nodded, "Right I'll stay here and guard the..house.." He mumbled, laying back down. Alfred watched him for a minite, then turned with a smile.
"So! Let's gatcha home!"

Kat nodded vigerously and went to go get her shoes on. She appeared in the car, honking the horn "Come on!" She pressed.

Alfred Dan downstairs and hopped in the front seat, driving off to the orphanage. He returned shortly and sighed.
"So glad tomorrow is Saturday.." He hummed, walking into the house, up to Arthur's room. He peeked in the door to find Arthur changing, but since the Brit didnt seem to notice him he stayed a bit longer, before walkin off to his own room. Both boys climbed into bed and went to sleep.

.::The next morning::.

When Kat got back to the orphanage and tossed her backpack under the bunk. She crashed down on the bed and laid there; face up to the top bunk. Kat had wished that she could sleep under the stars tonight. In fact, she might just do that. With a heaving sigh she swung out of her bunk. Everyone had turned in for the night, only a few girls remained up, most of them reading, trying to escape their suckish lives.

Kat never did like ready, she was always distracted by what was above her, those stars. The yellow and white flashlights of the night. She crept outside and began walking down the street. When she came to a fork in the road she kept walking straight. The concrete under her dropped and she rolled down a soft pillow of grass. Kat got back up and continued to walk, until she made her way to a tree by a rundown truck. Alfred and her had discovered the truck long ago, and engraved into the leather seats were the words: 'Property of Alfred F. Johns and Kat Johnson'.

Kat swung into the old truck and pulled out the blankets that she and Alfred had stored in the glove compartment. This place was holy and special to her; this place was of only sweet memories. Kat tucked herself in, lying across the single row of seats. She fell asleep to the scent of leather polish and a lingering scent of Alfred.

In the morning.

In the morning Kat lingered at the car, looking through the dirty windows. She had two things on her mind: A hair cut, and Taylor Laughtner. Her hair reached around her shoulders, Kat hated long hair, and it was for pansies and girly girls. She’d ask her friend Barbra to give it a nice trim later on.

Arthur had gone out to the store to buy some tea, and was now making said tea. Alfred lumbered groggily into the kitchen, looking around.
"Iggy..? What'cha makin'..?" He asked, leaning against the counter to see what te Brit was doing.
"Making Tea." Arthur answered with a smile. The first smile Arthur had given Alfred sent the American head over heels. Alfred leaned over the counter and pressed his lips to Arthur's, inhaling his scent, tea and mint.

Kat stayed at the truck for a good hour, before her cell phone started going crazy with missed calls from her legal gardians. She sighed, wanting to stay at this place longer. She wanted to climb the tree next to the car nad look down on the city, finding her orphanage, her school, then finally Alfred's house. But she didn't, instead she swung out of the car and began walking home. Around this time was when her and Alfred would meet at the McDonalds for a burger and a shake.

Ignoring her gardians texts, she made a B-line for the McDonalds a few blocks away. Kat pranced in and ordered herself a burger. Maybe Alfred would bring Arthur, it was rare that he didn't come. And if he couldn't make it then he'd text her. But the minuets ticked by and before long 30 minuets had passed.

Arthur made a small noise in the back of his throat and pulled away. Both boys blinked, before Alfred began apologizing.
"Oh god I-Im sorry iggy! But..i mean.." He fumbled over words to say, and Arthur stood there, trying to think if he felt anything.

Kat whipped out her cell phone, hoping that with Iggy being here it wouldn't destrupt her and Alfred's friendship.
'hey, you coming to MCD?' she texted.

Arthur opened his mouth to reply, before Alfred's phone buzzed.
"You should..get that." Arthur said quietly, walking calmly into his room to change. Alfred sighed angrily, and whipped out his phone.
Can't make it srry. can U bring me some burgers? meet me @ my house He texted back.

Kat frowned but nodded.
K. C u there. She texted back, before ordering another burger and heading out of the fast-food resterunt. She caught the local bus and got off at Alfred's neightborhood. Kat walked to Alfred's door and knocked, hoping the food was still warm.

Alfred jogged to the door and opened it with a small smile.
"Hey, sorry i couldn't come." He said, glancing back at Arthur who was mindlessly stirring his tea.
