I wanted to join these mares but they hated me. I tossed my mane and stamped my foot impatiently longing to play. I ran over to the log and lept gracefully just as my mother had. Slowing down I preformed my best collected trot and continued on with my day.

Crow:
I ran up and leapt almost over my mother. She was laying on her stomach so it made it kind of easy but as soon as I hit midway I fell. I got up and giggled in embarrasment. I nudged my mother to stand and when she did I suckled as usual.

I continued this little circus act until it was absolutely pointless. If another toss of my mane I skidded to a halt and turned away from these mares so I could just relax...

Nikki:
I stood up so Esperanza could suckle. I grazed normally as she drank her fill. I looked around and stood up on my hind legs. I reached up into the nearby tree and snagged a thin branch with about 3 apples on it. I ate one and Raven ate one. We split the last one and then resumed grazing.

I whinnied palyfully and stood upon my hind legs flailing my forelegs. Why couldn't these girls take notice!? I cantered over to them and nickered gentley. Tossing my mane I wished they could play....(or take a hint)

Raven:
I kept grazing and pawed at the ground. I looked up at Genuine. I'm busy! I said, referring to Crow, who was still suckling. I lowered my head to graze more.

'Yeah will Nikki's here'! I snorted back. I paced around with a sort've flare in my gaze. It strengthened rather then softened. I tossed my mane in an aggitated manner and cantered off to cool down.

Raven:
When Crow finally let go of me and went to go nap I had to watch him. I lied down and I would leave more than 6ft. from his sleeping body. When Esperanza lied down for her nap, me and Nikki went over to the lake and took big gulps of the cool water.

I tossed my mane again and let the wind catch it as if it was a kite and let it fly. I stood up on my hind-legs and a smile almost creased my face as the wind encircled me. Oh how I loved to be free...

Nikki:
I started to gallop circles around Raven. Nipping at her mane constantly and whinning. Raven finally got the idea and started to gallop to. I jumped over a log. Testing my sister, to see if she would follow. She soon picked up on my game and jumped over. We started to play. Knowing that Genuine was going to join soon.

I soon saw what the two mares were doing and whinnied as happily as I had in months. I galloped towards them with little hesitation and cleared that log like it wasn't truly there.

Raven:
I grinned at Nikki and galloped to the apple tree. I stood up on my hind legs and got a couple, knowing that sooner or later, Crow and Esperanza would be able to do that themselves. I grabbed and apple and knocked more and more down. Nikki ate them as they fell onto the ground next to me. When I was done and trotted through the lake and just had a good time playing in water.

I skipped on the apples but headed for the lake my happiness slowly fading like an hourglass. I lept into the water if exceptional height and landed with a miraculous splash. I reared and neighed happily. Oh this was the life!

Raven:
I shook the water off my jet black coat and glistened. I looked at my dripping mane and smiled. It felt so good to be washed again, well, almost washed. I still missed the soothing hands and the softening body wash that was back on the ranch.

I nickered at the two mares and dipped my head in respect. I tossed my mane and snorted heading off to the bushes to rest.
