Asali listened carefully to Renu's story, and couldn't help but wonder herself what might have happened to his brother. Then, all of a sudden, she came to think about her older sister, whom she had also left behind when she had escaped from the Pride Lands. Asali wondered how much Adanna, her sister must have missed her, and how worried she must be about her.

"Oh, I understand... I left my own big sister behind as well, and my parents..." Asali sighed, and sat down.

"I never realized how much I'd miss them all... but I can't go back" she said, turning her head away and closed her eyes.

Renu stared down at her now he was confused" Why not..?" He tilted his head confused" Do you not know where they are.. or do you not wish to see them..?" He frowned" Not that im saying you don't want to see them im just suggesting that there might be a reason as to why you don't want to see them" He said as his voice sort of quivered slightly.

Renu looked over towards pride rock" Is that where you came from" He asked his voice suddenly turning serious and somewhat fearful but you couldn't sence the fear in it as much.

Asali opened her eyes now, and looked down at her paws, letting out a heavy sigh. She then slowly raised her head, not yet turning back to Renu, and looked into the ditance and Pride Rock, that could also be seen.

"No, my family has nothing to do with me running away... it's the heart ache that stops me from going back" she then answered to Renu's question, quickly glancing at him, then turned her head away again, and now she had to close her eyes to prevent tears.

Renu frowned before nuzzling her gently" Then let me come with you and take you there.." He smiled alittle but it was a sad smile" I have some unfinnished buisness back at the pride lands anyway that need to be handled.. allow me to take you there and if you get upset you can comfort in me.."

"Oh, I couldn't go back, after everything that's happened..." Asali whispered, opening her eyes again and turned head away. But then, when Renu said he would be there for her, and she wouldn't be alone, she began to have second thoughts.

"But... would you really back back with me..?" Asali asked, looking Renu deep in the eyes.

Renu looked at her and nodded" Of course if you didn't want to go alone i wouldn't make you.." He smiled" Besides not only do i always keep my word.. we are friends and friends stick together" He said as he nuzzled her again" We don't have to go now but we can go whenever you wish.."

Renu's words made Asali get her smile back, she knew she could always relay on him, he would never do anything to hurt her, and she knew he would always keep his promises to her. So, now she turned her head back towards him, and smiled.

"I know that, that's why you are such a great friend to me" she said smiling, and gave him a nuzzle.

Renu nuzzled her back" I will always be your best friend whenever you need me Asali.." He said as he got up" Why don't i show you more of forest you will love every part of it im certain you will" He streched" Perhaps i could take you to waterfall peak..?"

Asali got up on her feet as well, shaking her fur a bit, and then looked at Renu, smiling.

"I'd love to see the waterfall" she said, tilting her head and smiling at the young male.

Renu smiled and made his way back down towards the waterfall peak" Thats not the best part is that there is a secret den behind there that i ended up making my home" He said as he crawled down the ledge looking back watching Asali.

Asali followed Renu down to the waterfall, watching her step because it was quite slippery, and when he mentioned he'd made his home in a secret den behind a waterfall, her excitment just grew bigger and bigger, and she wondered how beautiful it must be.

"A den behind a waterfall? That sounds so romantic!" she then sighed in awe, catchuing up beside Renu.

Renu blushed but was thankful for his dark fur that it was rarely noticeable. He smiled and nodded" Yes it is a beautiful site to wake up too every morning and go to sleep at every night especially when the fire flies zoom past it" He sighed feeling quite happy" Its beautiful because it makes the waterfall shine"

Asali looked at Renu, her muzzle turning into a wider smile, she thought it was exctremely cute to see Renu, a lion dark as night to have such a soft and sensitive personality. She loved it when a male wasn't afraid to show his feelings, especially around females, and Renu was without a doupt completely different from the other males she had met.

"Renu... you are the sweetest guy I have ever met" she then whispered into his ear with a soft voice, and licked his cheek.

Renu blushed deeply and chuckled nervously" you.. you think so..?" He asked his voice somewhat hopeful but part of him was still nervous from the fact that she had kissed his cheek. Renu looked over at her and nuzzled her gently" Thank you Asali.."

Renu and Asali soon made it to a large lake where a waterfall went over a large ridge. If there was a den behind that waterfall it was almost impossible to see. He smiled and made his way towards it before looking back at her" You comming..?"

Asali noticed that Renu was nervous, but didn't say anything about it, just so he wouldn't get anymore nervous than that. She thought it was very cute that he wasn't afraid to show his feelings around her, and she appreciated the fact that he was just being his own self, and also that she could be just herself around him, and he accepted her just the way she was.

"Yeah, I'm coming" she said, smiling with her teeth showing, and dashed off after him, quickly catching up to him.
