Koli heard Steri's growl. "Whats wrong Steri?" he asked.
Windseeker looked away slowly and walked over to the sled with Rowan. Kodi and the rest of the team already had hitched up. One thing Kodi offered Windseeker was the lead position. He accepted.
The musher put Rowan in his collar and then walked over to windseeker and patted him on the head. "Make us win boy." he whispered with a smile on his face and put the collar on him.

Koli looked back at the teams slowly. "Okay then." he said.
"Attention everybody." A man called out running out into the street and everyone went silent. "The Iditarod is dedicated to Balto and his heroic acts during out Epidemic a few years ago." he pulled out a starting pistol and pointed it to the air. "Get ready..." he pulled the trigger making it shoot a bullet. "GO!"
Windseeker takes off along with the rest of the team staying even with one of the teams for a bit of time.

Windseeker got ahead of the team after a little bit of time, there was only one team ahead of him.
Rowan was keeping his pace and looked around then spotted a black red and silver wolf, his sister, "Hey dad? Isn't that Steri?" he asked.
"wait huh?" Windseeker said turning his head around. "Steri?"

"Windseeker look out!" Dusty called out.
Windseeker looked over seeing a tree coming in quickly he quickly yanked to the right getting everyone out of the way.
