Maya took this oppurtunity to jump into the conversation. "It does to me too," she jumped in, responding to Marie's comment. She tossed her bottle in the trash, unwilling to drink anymore.

John shook his head. When Marie trailed off, the teen could never truly know what she was going to say. After all, he wasn't a mind reader. However he could tell where it was going, and for her sake, since she tried to avoid it, he did his best to ignore it too. "It's sad the levels people stoop to... for careless wants or reasons," He said in reply to her earlier comment.

John's eyes drifted off, staring into the distance as if he was captivated by some sight that only he could see. Flashbacks threatened to consume his entire being, and with a slight sting in his heart at the devastating memories, he pushed them away ten times faster than they came. He turned back to Rose as she jolted him out of his reverie, by commenting on the water. Then, he looked and saw Maya reacting to what she had said, apparently trying to get involved into the conversation. John realized then that they had been rude not to take notice of her before.

"It does taste a little funky," He admitted, though taking several guzzled sips right after. "But I'm so thirsty from gym I honestly don't care." He chuckled a bit, finishing the bottle and crunching the empty plastic in his hands. His mind was far off again, but perhaps not quite so distant as just a few minutes before. He absently threw the bottle away and turned towards the others with his masked, brackish colored eyes, an unusual color.

Occ:// Oh jeez, missed like, three pages. gotta catch up.

James sighed as he inserted money, and punched in the number for the water. "School really tires me out." he mumbled to himself fixing his backpack on his shoulder, then picked up his water. He opened it and drank a little bit of it. "Ech, what is this expired?" He asked almost spitting it out. James turned the bottle around to see if there was an experastion date on it, but it didn't seem to have one.
He shrugged and drank some more and left the building. Since James wasn't very social, he didn't really have friends. He avoided a group of people on his way home, and finished his water. He looked at the water bottle lable, the brand of water wasn't familliar to him. But James shrugged and threw it in a recycible bin.

A little late out of class, Duncan quickly put some coins into the vending machine. He pushed the buttons for a fruit punch but a water came out. He didnt complain its better than nothing he thought to himself. He opened it and took a small drink the decided he would have rather had the fruit punch. But he still drank it. He threw the empty bottle into his backpack and went off to find a few friends to chat with.

Once he finally found some friends to stand next to and listen to their conversation. He wasn't really listening he felt queezy. So he just walked off with his friends not even noticing. His house wasn't far from his school so he quickly walked home. As soon as he got home he took a shower and took a nap. He wouldn't be prepared for what he would see in the mirror when he woke up....

John volunteered. "Sure, I can take you both if you want." He offered a faint smile, but every now and then his vision fuzzed, refusing to see clearly and causing his head to spin. "Man... I don't feel too great. Is it just me or is the room spinning?" He grasped his head, attempting to rid himself of the nuisance his eyes and mind were causing. He was beginning to feel sick to his stomach, little by little, and although he would have loved to faint right then and there to relieve himself of all the pain, he just endured it, taking his hand off of his head.

Besides, he had already volunteered to take the two home. If not Marie, then Maya who had asked in the first place. And he needed his head clear or else he'd have an accident. That could doom them both.

John shook his head, hiding the fact he felt sick extremely well. Seeing both of the girls near him look sick too, he began to feel extremely suspicious of the water they had drunken just before. After all, it was a pretty big coincidence for all three of them to become sick shortly after throwing their bottles away. However dizzy he felt, though, John didn't want to seem weak for one thing. And for another, he'd been so good at hiding pained feelings that he was an expert now.

"Don't worry, I can take you two. It's fine. I feel fine. You guys look like you're ready to puke. I think it's best if I take you home. As soon as possible, too, before you pass out." He took both of them by the shoulders, attempting to support their weight. He put almost all of it on each of his own shoulders, enduring the hurt he felt himself just for the sake of helping out. If someone weren't paying attention enough, they'd pass it off as what he meant: he was fine. He was just helping. Nothing was wrong with him.

How oh so wrong that thought was.
