"And also, the cops did arrest those Los Vagos members we revealed, so it's posible," said Mammoth. "On top of it, perhaps the governer will get the message and help," he said. "Or better yet, the book makes enough money for us to get more secruity around here, like hire a privite investigator to help reveal some crooked cops that are helpping the other gangs."

Beth nodded. "Hey, that's another thing. We might not be able to do much about gangs, but maybe we could help put a sting on some crooked cops," she said. "Get them out of the way and maybe the cops can actually get to work.

OOC: Question, was the intent of the cops dumping them off the cops were bad or the cops didn't want them to be arrested? Because I have an idea.

OOC: Perhaps I have a detective character that helps them out, maybe explains how Paul and Beth end up somewhere safe and helps them start busting corrupt cops.

Beth gave it some thought. "Now if we're going to get corrupt cops busted, we'll need help," she said. "Can you guys think of anyone who could help?" she asked, wanting to know what could be done. Clearly the Ballas and Los Vagos had some help in the police departmant, but not all of them were corrupted. Could they get some help from them?

"Too risky to go right to the police departmant, we might run into a corrupt one," said Mammoth, not wanting to let the crooked cops know they were onto them. "That could be worse than doing nothing."

OOC: Jarrett. He's a German Shepard.

"What about a privite detective?" asked Beth. "There are a few in the newspaper that are pretty good, but we'd need to find one willing to work with what we can afford," she said. "After all, we don't have very much," she continued. "But I know if he'll wait till my book is published, then we can pay him...or her."

"Well I think anyone with a heart would help you if they could at all," said Mammoth. "It's hard to turn a blindeye to someone's plight."

"He said as soon as he can, but it will take at least 15 minutes," said Beth. "He lives in town. He said he'd do whatever he could though, so that should help."

OOC: Skip to when he gets there?

OOC: Doesn't actually 'join' but becomes a strong ally that helps them however he can. Do Dogs wear hats? If so, Jarrett wears a fadora.

Beth heard a knock on the door about a half hour later. "That must be him," she said, going over and openning the door. "Detective?"

Jarrett nodded. "Just call me Jarrett," he replied, giving a smile.

"Of course, come on in," said Beth, stepping aside and letting him in.

"Hello," said Jarrett, looking around. "Sorry for the wait, I was examiing the file on your gang," he said. "The Grove Street Family has a good reputation for being peaceful, few arrests and generally being good, law abiding citizens," he continued. "I also read about the deaths of your brother and mother," he said, to Meldox, Beth, and Glenn, putting a rose on the table. "You have my sincere condolences."
