Okay about almost everyone is always creeped out by the coffin scene.
Why come I have no emotions or any feeling about coffin scene?

Replace 'scary' with 'intense' and the avalanche could easily fall into that. The way the scene ended on a 'fade to black' note made the silence after that high-speed scene quite eerie.
It's a shame that the ice cave scene was not longer and it was somewhat dumbed down by comic elements (Star with the ice crystals and such, don't get me wrong, it was quite a nice scene but I felt it was a bit out of touch on how he was goofing off after they'd nearly died) because that would've been a pretty scary scene from the point when Balto indicates the sharpened points of ice above them, some quiet, foreboding music would've made it good as well.
So, if it had been longer and with creepy music, the ice cave scene would've easily scared me but, to me, the avalanche scene and the coffin scene came closest to scaring me.

That may be but I just felt the comedy prevented the scene from being taken seriously and I wanted to take it seriously because, without going into too much graphic detail, they would've suffered quite a gruesome death from the sharpened ice points above them.

A gorey death from icicles is a bit scary and buried in an avalanche and getting at out of it quite difficult.

First time on the forums. LET'S DO THIS. >:C The coffin scene was very morbid, now that I think about it. Sad and morbid. REALLY SAD AND MORBID.
Steele was REALLY creepy in some parts, too. If he could've pulled off Zira's red-eye thing in "My Lullaby", I would be terrified of him lol.

I didnt really get a chill from the coffin scene, but I did think it raised suspense.

Besides, if you look at most animated movies nowadays, and for years, you can see one recurring pattern: almost without exception, bears are treated as non-speaking, lumbering brutes who do nothing but create havoc for the protagonist and the supporting characters. Usually these are grizzly (brown) bears. Just a few noteworthy examples off the top of my head: Balto Balto 2: Wolf Quest Fox & The Hound Of course, the bears' plight is seldom better in live-action movies.
