My solid love for Balto lives strong, even to this very day. I wish I was even born on the day of Balto 1s release.

Thaaaaat's a bit much, don't you think?

For someone heroic like Balto, its never too much.

Well if you had said something like "gosh, I wish I were born on the same day Balto and his team brought the serum back into Nome", or "I wish I was born the same day the real Balto was", I'd have been like "hey, not bad". But this? That's just a bit crackers. Besides, the fictional Balto only exists within the realm of that fictional cartoon world created for the three movies.

With the great depression that followed, I wouldnt want to be born in 1925. 1995 is more worth it.

I said the same day, not the same year. lol Besides, even if you WERE born in 1925, you'd be too young to recall the Great Depression. And by the time you were old enough to understand what it was, you'd be watching news reels in movie theaters, with your family and friends, about the war going on over in Europe and in Asia. lol And talking about whether or not America ought to get involved.

My grandfather was born that year (passed away in 1989). Still, I rather be born in 1995. Thanks for the thought though.

I watched the first Balto a long long time ago, thought it was a good movie and all but I did not obsess over it. So I guess the lapse was practically instant.

Then Wolf Quest came along, and even the announcement of such a thing stirred me into an obsession. Suddenly I cared, because this one-time fling had now turned into a series.
I had to go to a basketball game or something with relatives so I could not watch the premiere on Cartoon Network's Cartoon Theater (brings back memories, doesn't it?), so I recorded it on a VHS. When I got home I watched it, and it was awesome. And so the obsession began!

I don't remember much from the interval between Wolf Quest and Wings of Change, although it's probably safe to say the obsession waned at some point, but when Wings of Change was released you can bet I was excited again.
I found it rather disappointing after Wolf Quest, but I was just thankful for another piece of the Balto puzzle.

In more modern terms, I guess I can say what keeps me a Balto fan right now is this forum ^^;
I joined not too long ago, and the site just instantly revamped my obsession, bringing it back 10 years to when Wolf Quest premiered.
Now I'm coming back to old characters and fanfictions and...well it's just a blessing really.

But with the waning hopes for a fourth film, I now get to watch everyone's obsession slowly wither away...wonderful...

His story motivates me, and that if humans had something of his force our life would be very different!!!

I think I've stated this before in another topic, but it's the characters and their personalities that keep me a fan of the movies. I love thinking of different possibilities and playing with the "what would happen if...?" kind of thing. So I use the movies to dissect and develop the characters within my own fanfics.

Animation, dogsledding, huskies, Alaska. Hmm, I guess I could also mention Steele.

Watch you don't turn into a fanboy there, Shadow.
Although I will admit--Steele is FTW.
