@Cat: My comment was irrelevant ...how? The topic is about sparkledogs, is it not?
I don't think the character designs matter as much as the work that was put into the character itself. If a character has an interesting and unique backstory, with believable relations to the site it's posted on, it deserves to have a character page, no matter how it "looks". If there's a character with a realistic and unique design, but nothing more than a name and age to it, it's not a good character. I think it's those certain sparkledogs that ruin it for the rest of them that actually had work put into them.

So if a pink and blue husky with bright green and purple leggings and a good life story fits in the Balto universe, simply because they saw Balto once and 1920's dye wasn't that advanced to make such articles of clothing? That's stupid.

I don't really care. It's just... going too far with them that ruins it for those who don't do it that bad. After all, steet even said, if you don't like it you can filter it out. It wouldn't really make a difference if these "abominations" were on the sites or not. If you don't like them, filter them out. That way, there's no more problem. Now please don't confuse me for an all out sparkledog fan. Cause I'm not. I'm just saying, if there's a filter, should it really matter whether they're on the site or not?

Yes, because certain IDIOTS will say that their character ISN'T a sparkledog when it IS. And they'll blame the MODS for NOT ACCEPTING it because they THINK IT'S A SPARKLEDOG.

That's stupid. Call it whatever you want, but seeing Balto once doesn't mean they're RELATED TO BALTO in any way. Seriously, even if it wasn't a sparkledog, the mods wouldn't accept that, as far as I'm sure of. Anyway, yes, if it has a good backstory and is RELATED TO THE SITE IT IS ON, then it deserves to have a page. That's my opinion.

Trouble being if someone made one that was bright blue with green & pink hair, wears legwarmers and has My Little Pony butt-tattoos BUT it's a husky and is on the sled team with Kodi and has a crush on Dusty; under the rules as it's said in the news we have to accept that. And it's ridiculous.
You don't get bright blue huskies with green & pink hair, that wear legwarmers and have My Little Pony butt-tattoos.

But I proved my point. Not really any use in arguing further on my side.

Just sayin'. (Sad this is, I don't see it that far off that some kid is going to try to pull crap like that and cry "But it IS related to Balto!!!! My pink/purple/green wolf/dog is his son!!!" -.-)

On the question of relation to Balto issues, how far is that able to be stretched by the way? I just saw a char whose only relation is being Steele's great-great-granddaughter, isn't that taking it a bit too far o.O? That's almost deviating completely away from any Balto related stuff.

And the same people will be told their character is a sparkledog and then they'll get "offended" and say they're bashed for their opinion of what a sparkledog is or some other dogcrap.
